LOL, I know exactly what you mean! I have 5 of these cute little critters taking over the feeder tower out back. They even managed to drag the suet feeder down and halfway across the yard before abandoning it because they couldn't get it open!Guess it's time to switch from regular sunflower seeds to safflower seeds. They don't care for safflower, or so I have been told... we'll see!
Uh oh! Bad squirrel...but oh so cute!
I am trying not to laugh, truly I am!!! that last shot is hilarious, tummy is full, feeder is empty, just sprawl out and wait for Tex to fill the feeder again.
That last shot looks like, "Who? Me???" LOL.Happy Easter!
Good to the last drop...errrr...seed!
Haha! I hope I'll be able stretch out and relax like that after I've committed the perfect crime!
Look at those cute little claws, all ready to scratch your EYES out. Love Posie
LOL I was going to say exactly what Sandra said above but she beat me to it!
His very own feeder Tex! :)
LOL Mr. Squirrel wore himself out trying to lick the bowl. Cute series.
I totally love that last shot! That's how I felt last night after working in the yard all day.
I wonder how he would feel after a hard boiled egg with the shell on . . . (no, I wouldn't do that but they are certainly pesty little guys!). I think he looks like the same guy who visited last week. The chipmunks around here drive us CRAZZZZY . . .
It is a lovable varmint, beautiful photos.
Love the shot of that smug old fat cat out on the limb. Mocking you, isn't he?
I live in an area of land, it was a haven for wildlife, including the squirrels, who came and helped itself to nuts. But, it was about time that they thought it would be alright to build houses on that area. That was the end of squirrels, birds, trees............. just the CATS.
Smorgasborg (sp?). That guy has it made!! LOL!
The weird thing is,,,most of those squirrels are ten times smarter than those we've elected into our own government
It's job is to keep you in shape by continually keeping the feeders filled. I like the last shot, all full, time for a nap.
Is there anything that birds like and squirrels don't?Enjoy your day : )
the title is perfect, no words are necessary!!he's "winning" Theresa!! big time!!have a happy sunday!!
Ha! I feel your pain!
Great shots. Yes, they are entertaining and a pain in equal measure over here too!
The vermin are leaving the ankle breaking holes all over my yard. They rarely run from me, anymore. They know I'll leave 'em be. Then one day...POW! Right in the kisser! ;)
Happy looking squirrel.
I know he is a stinker but he is so darn cute!
Hi hi hi!Great captures!Thanks for sharing;o)***Happy Easter****
Free food...they drive me crazy when they raid the bird feeder!!!
I bought a new feeder similar to your green one a cople of weeks ago... The squirrels have pulled the one of the plastic perches off.I only noticed yesterday when I was refilling it.. seed poured out of the whole so now it can only be half filled. You have to admire their talents.
Great captures of this thief-acrobat! :-)
Thanks for the chuckle! Got my day off to a jolly start.
You will never outwit a squirrel. I've learned that over the years now. LOVE your pictures! Happy Easter to you, too.
I love that little furry hand reaching around the feeder.
LOL. Lovely shots of these entertaining creatures.
Bad little squirrel great shots! Happy Easter
That guy put on quite a show for the photographer. I'm on my way home to mine. Great shots and happy easter.
He sure is a determined little booger! Hahaha!!!!
Easy target. Whoops it is Easter Sunday. Pretend I didn't say that.
That little rascal -- you have the patience of Job, I tell ya! :)
Looks like your squirrels are having a nice Easter. A good one to you too.
He's lucky he's cute:) He looks like he has no clue that food wasn't put out just for him!
That does look like hard work and he needs a rest. :-)
The persistence of these little critters is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. My favorites are the squirrel "hand" reaching around the feeder and his impish look when fully exposed.
Ha! Hang your bird feeder up and the squirrels will come. Great captures, Hope you are having a Happy Easter!
Hi TexWisGirl, Happy Easter! The squirrel is fat and happy but it does dent the pocketbook. Ha! Great pictures!
That's one hard working little guy! I always love your squirrels!! Hope your Easter is going well!Sylvia
It's the Easter Squirrel!
He looks like he's ready for a massage in the last shot. LOL
Beautiful capturehappy easter
So funny that you posted this today...the Pres is outside attempting to put yet another baffle on one of the feeder poles to deter some relatives of your guy (s)...:)JP
You photographed the squirrel very sharply. :)
I have the perfect corrective: a dog who loves hunting squirrels. Still i feel sorry for the ones he catches. Great series, Theresa!
ah, what a cute little guy!thanks for adding some cuteness to my day.
Gosh---those darn critters!!!! They are so acrobatic aren't they???? Hope you have a great Easter Day, Theresa.Hugs,Betsy
As soon as I saw the first pic and especially the fourth pic just screamed "Can you see me now?" Hide and seek squirrel! Happy Easter from the U.P.'love & hugs from afar'
Cute gymnast and climber :-)Nice shots!
You know I LOVE these pics! Look at all the entertainment squirrels give us. :) I love the new header and pics. :) Happy Easter Theresa! Hugs to you and all your fur babies!
He is very cute. :)
Great post, but where are all the dogs?? Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Thanks for your comment I did think I had disabled my word verification - hopefully I've done it properly this time!
He sure is persistent!
These are hilarious!
They are so clever....
I have a 5 gallon bucket of left over pecans (from year before last) that I put out in the yard and the squirrels are having a field day. I'm finding broken shells and pecans everywhere.
He is a sneaky wee devil isn't he - but still very cute :))
Squirrel 1, TexWisGirl 0!!
Great photos as usual.
There he is again!!! He´s so qute working on that feeder...Nice new header and the picture of you.
I get such a kick out of them laying on the branch like that! Happy Easter:@)
Nice squirrel feeder ... tee hee couldn't help myself had to say it LOL
They're amazing little acrobats, aren't they? And so cute, too. Great photos.
My Pal :)
Varmint, yes. Cute, yes. Entertaining, yes. A pest around bird feeders, yes!
Dearest Theresa,Hope you had a blessed Easter Sunday! Your squirrel looks like it had more than its share... ha-ha.Love,Mariette
Is there ANY possible body position that you haven't managed to capture in a squirrel? I bet there is and can't wait to see it!
They are determined little buggers.
It is a squirrel feeder.
There is something about a bird feeder and a squirrel. just can't resist it can they?
Sneaky little devil!
He looks sated - wouldn't be surprised if he burped.
There appears to be absolutely nothing you can do to keep these critters out of the bird feeders! But they are so cute, and you have to admire their resourcefulness!
The squirrels took down my Nijer Thistle seed sock today.
Ooh T, you've been busy! New header, new pic of you...looks great. And, my fav whistler is in the header!!! Damn squirrel! Margie
Lol. I know I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help it. I know they're a nuisance, but the entertainment value is priceless! ;)
oh my goodness that is so very very funny.... bought wet my pants...and look at your sexy legs on that photo of you ...You go girl!!!!!
He looks too fat to fit in the holes anymore, heehee!
Hi there - I think that a "squirrel proof feeder" is an oxymoron! If it can be made by us, then a squirrel will find away to get into it!Much like possums here - but they find a way into your roof space!Cheers - Stewart M - Australia
*giggle* ~ so naughty but so cute!xo Catherine
Cheeky little critter!! He is cute though... love the last shot!
Hi there, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chrishttp://chelencarter-retiredandlovingit.blogspot.ca/
Bird," Go away, you big monster."I just came back from walk and saw a houseowner had covered his fig tree with a net. Inside were some silver eye birds. I was waiting to get some photos. An elderly gentleman came and spoke with me. he said the trouble is, the birds don't eat one fruit, it makes numerous holes. Then I went and saw a wild fig tree, not many fruits but one one bird.Hope the photos will turn out good, so I can post it.
this makes me want to laugh out loud!
Oh, too cute! Oops, I mean ... naughty squirrel. But they've got to eat too, right?
Squirrels are so bad to be so cute.
I feel your pain, sigh. But they are cute, and differnt from mine.Should we trade?
This guy reminds me of the yet-to-be-captured big mouse coming in and out of our house. This squirrel is of course far more cute.
Can't outsmart the little imps!
Great shots, love the third one.
Wish I could do that.
I love seein' them thievin' varmints! :)Great new header too!
That's pretty and cute capture on the active squirrel. Is it bird feeder or squirrel feeder?
*hehe* He's BAAAA-ACK! lol
"wait, didn't i knock this down for easier access?"
I feel sorry for the poor beggar!:-)
Hey T~Hope you had a great weekend with all your critters. You know this one is my favorite. But then I've always had a thing for bad boys. hahaLove your new header- look at you out in the sunshine!
I was already laughing, of course, but the last photo clinched it! :-)
That is so cute. One of its relatives didn't make it across the street and ended up in our driveway. :( And I see you've been doing some blog redecorating! Nice.
I know they are a pain, but they are so darn cute!
He needed to take a break from trying to knock it down. Your squirrels crack me up:)
Snort! They're such persistent little farts, eh? :)
Nice look to the new header pic.Let the squirrel wars begin!
That is cute. Looks like it might be a mommy squirrel, bet she is hungry if she's feeding little ones.
Well, points for creativity.
LOL! He worked so hard he had to take a break! lol
Very nice shots Theresa....i like them.Greetings, Joop
Is this a sigh because you wish you were that acrobatic or that the squirrel is eating all your sunflower seeds? :)
Every morning, without fail, I am greeted with a squirrel and NO birds!
This squirrel just cracks me up!
I know...I just give up any more and let them eat. It doesn't matter that I put out corn, apples, or oranges for the squirrels. They still want the suet and seed.Great captures by the way!
