Lovely reflections. The tiny circular waves in the water make a wonderful pattern.
Where's his better half?? Lovely and peaceful...
Your pond is so popular, I wonder how he got so much of it to himself. So calming and reflective.
That's one cute long necked duck, looks like she's stretching her neck to have a good look at you.Happy Easter my dear!

Tell the duck Happy Easter. And I'll greet you the same.
They have such graceful necks.
Happy Easter weekend to you!... you have some very pretty water fowl in your area. We're stuck with mallards, which I love also, but variety would be nice.
These birds always make me smile. Happy Easter weekend!

This duck is becoming a pond favorite. Nice catch on the reflection!
how skittish are those? I swear the wood ducks can hear me breathing from 150 yards...impossible to get close
At first he seems a little put off by you watching him but then he gets over it. good to see
Looks like he is looking for something!

Friendless on a beautiful spring day. I like seeing the green reflected.
Just enjoying some "me time" on a lovely spring day!
My favorites of all your wonderful birds -- we watched Whistler ducks when we stayed in Port A -- have never seen them anywhere else. thanks for sharing and the memories.
It does seem strange to see one lone duck out there since, in most of your photos, these birds seem to enjoy hanging out together.
I bet his mother sent him out for a swim so she could have some time in her rocking chair back on shore!:)
He sure is enjoying his early morning swim with the pond all to himself. The reflections are wonderful.Happy Easter
Lovely whistling ducks, and their reflections.
Waiting on its better half...or else keeping an eye on the photographer.
Pływają sobie w parach, jedna na górze, druga na dole :-). Pozdrawiam.Sail yourself in pairs, one on top, the other at the bottom :-). Yours.
Love those ducks! Beautiful shots, great reflections for the day! Enjoy your weekend!!Sylvia
The reflection of its neck makes it look as if it has one leg.
I like this fellow's color scheme which is so attractive. I've never seen one of these in person...yet. Nice post.
I love the ripples!
Looks cool and so refreshing.
That is such a cute duck! The green reflection makes a nice picture. :)
It must be so relaxing to just sit and watch.
I REALLY need to have my own pond! I love these guys... Nice photos!
He looks to be keeping a firm eye on you, too - haaaaaaa, too sweet!
Lovely capture and the reflection falls well on the water.
The reflections are priceless. Yep, here I am the goofy one. I learned that many ducks as people can be lost or feel lonely at times. So don't worry about your duck. The duck I posted yesterday has good news! Her mate returned. Awh, gee, wonder where he was? I think I know. Nature has it all Theresa. I love your blog that shows me a different side of the states, and your world. You are very much appreciated.
Oh seeing how all alone he/she is reminded me, my wife's mallard...her mate came back this morning! She seemed so lonely herself as they were inseparable. We were afraid he got caught by a coyote. Maybe he was fooling around on the side.
Beautiful reflections of a lovely bird.
Ah lovely reflections of that duck in the water. Very peaceful looking!!
That should be the topic of your next work of art
Awww where have all the friends gone?
There's just something about these ducks that makes me smile the minute I lay eyes on them! ;)
That's a wonderful looking bird... :)Regards,Angad AchappaIndian Wildlife Photography

I just love the Whistler pics! Pretty reflection. He looks lonely. Was he there all alone?Thank you for the birthday wishes. :)
Gorgeous to see the sky reflected in this way. Really feels like Spring is here.
I find myself whistling! Margie
I won't tell him its only a reflection and not a friend merrily swimming by his side.~:)
Whistler reflection. Is that like an echo? Nah, can't be, everyone knows duck's quacks don't echo. But, does their whistle?
This little feller looks startled - eyes so wide. Come to Arkansas and take pics of my ducks please. We have cattle, and horses, and barns, and fences too. Happy weekend.
Beautiful pictures. Coming from someone who loves living alone, I don't see him/her as lonely. I see joy and contentment!
Just lovely. Thanks for your comments on my posts. I have been a way from the computer a lot this week. The Dr. says the eye is on the mend, though!
