Happy Easter weekend to you!... you have some very pretty water fowl in your area. We're stuck with mallards, which I love also, but variety would be nice.

My favorites of all your wonderful birds -- we watched Whistler ducks when we stayed in Port A -- have never seen them anywhere else. thanks for sharing and the memories.

Linda said...

It does seem strange to see one lone duck out there since, in most of your photos, these birds seem to enjoy hanging out together.

Sall's Country Life said...

I bet his mother sent him out for a swim so she could have some time in her rocking chair back on shore!:)

Lovely capture and the reflection falls well on the water.

Janie said...

The reflections are priceless. Yep, here I am the goofy one. I learned that many ducks as people can be lost or feel lonely at times. So don't worry about your duck. The duck I posted yesterday has good news! Her mate returned. Awh, gee, wonder where he was? I think I know. Nature has it all Theresa. I love your blog that shows me a different side of the states, and your world. You are very much appreciated.

Sinbad and I on the Loose said...

Oh seeing how all alone he/she is reminded me, my wife's mallard...her mate came back this morning! She seemed so lonely herself as they were inseparable. We were afraid he got caught by a coyote. Maybe he was fooling around on the side.

Inger said...

Whistler reflection. Is that like an echo? Nah, can't be, everyone knows duck's quacks don't echo. But, does their whistle?
