Birds on a Wire Choir

For some reason, this scene reminded me of my days in junior high and high school choir. You know, when the choirmaster does that hold and then circle sign with his hand to close out the last note of a song. Sure hope you get that reference, otherwise, oh well...

And this one looks like they're starting to practice their cursive writing, or that note is trailing off...
I know. I'm weird.

Weird, maybe, but I love your sense of humor...or maybe it is just your view of life! These photos made for very interesting viewing this morning...and were good for a smile!

I enjoy your weirditude. And your photos of birds.

Not weird. Observant, Creative and Imaginative!

I *do* remember that! I was in the church choir. (Oh don't look at me like that. I was!)

Marvelous bird choir. Any reason why the birds do not get electrocuted while sitting on a high tension electric wire ?

Funny, I love your "birds on a wire".

I like how your mind works. :) I do know the move you described, but not from personal experience. Interesting birds-on-a-wire photo.

Quite an imagination you've got but yea, I got it thanks to years of band and singing!

I always enjoy seeing the birds 'lined' up.

You never wanted me in a choir... hahaha

Betty Roan said...

I can't carry a tune in a bucket, so no choir for me. lol I think the lead bird is the orchestra conductor.

That is such a cool line of birdies. I can't see the image you mention, but that's just me. You may be weird but it's a GOOD weird! :-)

This is absolutely amazing. What great captures of the bird choir!! Your sense of humor is absolutely grand, I love to smile along with you on this one.

And yesterday's post...the baby's first steps...so endearing!!!

SHADOWS AND SUMMARIES is a link to my newest post for the day! Hope you can find time to view...and, have a super glorious Sunday!!!

Brilliant!! I love your analogy.

Kathy said...

When birds are perched on wires, why do 95 percent of them face the same direction? And what's with those that don't?

Daffycat said...

The weird ones here are the birds sitting on the wrong side of the pole! How funny!

R.Ramakrishnan...the birds aren't grounded that is why they can sit on electric wires. If we reach up there and touch one of those birds whilst they sit on the wire ~ ZAP!

Looks like it was a gorgeous Texas sunshine day . . .

Very cool!

I remember a skit my son's girlfriend was in during high school. They were all dressed up as birds on a wire and did a hilarious comedy skit. I can't remember the skit in detail, but I sure remember the fun expressions and outfits on those girls.

Great picture, how funny it looks , yes indeed it looks like a choir...:-)

And all the little birdies go tweet tweet tweet. Don't know why that popped in my head, but thought it was appropriate.

I'm enjoying your pictures. I'm a native Texan happily living in Oregon but I still enjoy seeing pictures of "home."

I LOVE these photos! And I know precisely the reference you're referring to about choir. Mr. Beed, our choir director, did that all.the.time. Thanks for the memories. happy Sunday to you TWG.
(and I don't think you're weird - just a character I love).

Hi TexWisGirl, Interesting views of the birdies on the line. Funny and, yes, you are spot on about the musical reference (I was in the symphonic and marching bands and we did a lot of concerts with the choirs at my large high school in L.A. (show-business oriented school).

Weird trumps abbey-normal every time. I often felt like one of those birds on a wire when I was in junior-high choir class.

edenhills said...

That is so cute! I love this, and thanks for the smile.

Rita said...

I wasn't in choir, but I still got the reference. ;) That right side must have been the best side for those birds to insist on the more awkward perchings.

Nancy said...

A fun shot, T. And I think I get your reference -- but I never sung in choir. :)

S. J. Q. said...

Ah, yes!

Is the lower wire hot?

Robin said...

T, oh, they are just in line for the loop de loop!
I don't recognize them. What are they?

Becky said...

What a cool catch, and you have described it perfectly!

OMG....It really does. Those nuns were always making us sing and chant. These shots are great. I am so glad you looked up at the moment you did. Would have to miss a sight like this. Have a nice week.

Ah yes, 'I remember it well . . .'

Our music teacher, old Miss Tolstrup, she was a honey, giving us a perfect A by singing 'open thy mouth, north and south'. She could lead us to heights we did not know we had. Thanks for the reminder.

That is awesome! Down in Galveston we had seen birds all lined up on the wires like this, they were all settling down to bed for the night. I never saw anything like it before.

Michaele said...

Well I think that is a well organized choir. I never would have thought of the conductor thing, but you are so right. be sure to tell R.R why the birds don't get electrocuted.
