Fence Sitters

A pair of black-bellied whistlers perch on the corral panels we use to extend the fence line into the pond.

The sun went behind the clouds and changed the light on the rest of these shots.

I don't know about you, but I just wanted to give those little duck butts a wee push to see them wobble on those pink eraser feet.

I thought of you last night , I was driving into town and there were maybe 8 eagles circling and 3 sitting in the tree branches.....they are beautiful but they are such predators that our poor ducklings have a hard time making it to adulthood.

I was having the same thoughts. I think it would be so funny to see them fall in, I doubt if we could get that close. Lovely shots.

Hi Theresa, I have been accused all of my life of being a fence sitter... (You know--someone who has trouble making decisions and can see both sides of the story)... WELL---one thing is for sure. I'm not nearly as pretty as those Fence Sitters at your house.... ha
Hugs,
Betsy

wayside wanderer said...

They sure have big feet for small ducks and a very protruding middle toe. Can you tell I've spent a lot of time inspecting mallard feet...or should I say mallard foot? Ugh.

Marie said...

Great fence adornment! These guys just make everything cuter!

I am always amazed what they can do with those feet. It just doesn't seem right.

A first here--never seen pink eraser feet clinging to a fence! Is this unusual? In pilates we do "bird on a perch" but thinking more claw, not webbed feet. :-) Regardless, they just make me smile.

georgettesullins said...

So steady on their tightwire sitting up straight.

Sandy said...

I will say it again....I just love those guys. I don't think I had noticed their pink feet before though. How cute.
