I love those ducks...we don't have them here...just gorgeous.
Wild things don't dare let their guard down totally...ever. It's a harsh world out there, even for such cute things as black bellied whistling ducks.

We don't have black bellied whistling ducks here so your neat pictures caught my eye in a hurry. They look to be quite large as far as ducks are concerned?
Love seeing these guys. They are so cute.
Those beaks, those eyes, those cute little duck butts. Great job, as usual.
Have you drawn them yet?
You've got to draw one!!! These are so cute.
Beautiful ducks and ones I don't think I've seen here in Seattle. Yep, love those duck butts and colorful beaks!

What a pretty pair.
Nice photos of beautiful ducks. They have very good colors :)
I saw one of these beauties when I was visiting a friend in Houston ... he looked like someone had painted him in the tree. I was amazed and your pictures of them are amazing as well. Thank you for reminding me ...Andrea @ From The Sol
Ducks are often seen in the water, but their movement on the ground is more fun to see. Your photos show that they look most beautiful on the green grass and their standing pose is charming.
Like the new picture of you on your sidebar. You're almost as cute as the Whistling ducks. lol
Just what I wanted! A whole blog devoted to the Black Bellied Whistling Ducks. What do they Whistle by the way? Any song we might know? Like "Its not easy bein' a Duck!" Or maybe "Duck inside my Cottage Door" How about "You're a Ducky Sweetheart"?I might have to move to Texas . . .Jo, with Stella and Zkhat
Great shots and beautiful colors.
So colorful! Beautiful. :))
I had no idea there were so many different kinds of ducks -- this is an education. Also they look so great with the deep green background of grass.
They are so amazing and funny!Nice post
OK! You've posted these little guys often enough that I've finally gotten the inspiration to crochet an afghan in their colors!!! I just love the colors on these birds and think they would make an awesome afghan! Now I just need to find the right design to show off the blocks of colors, just as their colors show them off. Thanks! Keep posting pictures of these little guys.
They are a joy to look at and well worth a repeat look.enjoy your daypeter

LOL! Ok, I think the BBWD have officially taken over as my favorite subjects at Run*A*Round! They make me laugh even when they're not doing anything silly...they're just goofy. It says a lot when you can beat out the tree rats for comedy!
They sure have it good at your place :-) Water AND food!
Wow...I love the b lie on the end of the beaks. It is sososo pretty. Ducks are still my favorites. I guess it is because they bring out the inner child in me. It is so nice that you takes lots of shots because it really helps those of us that know zilch about out fine feathered friends, I loved this post. genie
I watched the Travel Channel and love ANTHONY BOURDAIN: NO RESERVATIONS: and he just went through fixing duck to eat. All of his shows are interesting but this was interesting to me because we tried to fix Donald Duck and he turned out to be a tough old bird and we never went through the process again.
So comical! such great shots - I love these ducks!
Looks like they complement each other quite well. They are so colorful, always a delight to see them.
