As annoying as they are when they eat all the bird seed, or dump it all out, you have to admit, they are fun to watch!

Sandra said...

silly goose of a squirrel. makes me laugh at each pose. you must have the healthiest squirrels in the country. you could rent this guy out as a comedian.

Keep working out Scrappy so you can fit in the hole and not have to hang upside down! (Gives me a head rush looking at him, lol!)

When I worked at UCLA, there were pine trees outside my window -- full of squirrels. Often they made it difficult to concentrate on work.

Time to call Squirrelbusters.

Doug Hickok said...

We have tried our best to keep squirrels out of the feeders, but they indeed are so athletic and acrobatic that it is hopeless. They are admirable for their persistence, I must say !

Ann Nichols said...

So absolutely adorable! Brings back memories of squirrels I used to watch run up and down the twin oak tree outside my bedroom window when I was a girl in Richmond Virginia!!
Thanks for this!
Blessings!

Too funny and so true! These photos are so cute! You know I love these little critters! It's all about survival for all wildlife and I can't seem to get angry with any of them! I have watched squirrels and birds for hours and I love every minute of it!

And upside down, too! That's a new one...did anyone tell Suzanne Somers? Cute lil squirrel, even if they are pests!

Bob Bushell said...

You make me laugh, and so does the squirrel.

Maura @ Lilac Lane Cottage said...

I wish I could do that! Not stuff my face full of sunflower seeds but hang by my toes upside down and do crunches like that!

MTWaggin said...

Chunky squirrel looks like he needs to get that much exercise while eating! LOL

barbara l. hale said...

That is one unbelievably talented being!

Kerry said...

Laughing! What pretty markings this guy has.

I wish I could eat upside down. It seems like it would be less fattening.

Susan said...

What a little stinker he is! Must have the best thighs in town!

Jerry said...

I've seen plenty of squirrel photos before but none quite like these - they really made me smile!

Dar said...

Eye, another gymnist on the feeder...I love that feeder with the antic holes inside. Ever since you told me where you got it, I've been watching but never to find one :(

Squirrels are among my most favourite people. :)

Sallie (FullTime-Life) said...

They're so funny! I remember watching a squirrel on our birdfeeder with our oldest grandson, then about 3 (that's over a quarter of a century ago). -- I can still hear him laughing uproariously at the squirrel's antics and saying "Grandma that's not a squirrel, that's a pig!"

Andrew said...

Haha! absolutely fantastic to see...

Rohrerbot said...

That guys got some strength!!! Look at those powerful thighs!! Why haven't they ever made a superhero called, "The Squirrel". An acrobat turned vigilante?:)

Nancy's Notes said...

That is one amazing little squirrel!!

rkbsnana said...

Now, I am certainly not one to talk but it looks like the little guy could use a little ab workout. Maybe it's just the camera angle but his little belly is bulging.

Debbie said...

WoW...he's got some grip!!

Michaele said...

He thinks you hung the feeder upside down on purpose but he's not letting it slow him down.

Tracy said...

HAH, while they are real pains at times, they are really cute! We've picked up a cute little rabbit that lives in our bushes and well, that son of a gun is eating my lilies...URGH!

Happier Than a Pig in Mud said...

Ok, I'm just going to say it... they must be 100% muscle, bet folks that eat them have to cook the hell out of them in a crock pot:@)

Farm Girl said...

Okay second time is the charm, I wrote a comment today and my computer decided to turn off right then.
If I could eat like that and use my thigh muscles while standing on my head, man would I be in tip top shape. I maybe should have my husband put an exercise bar in the dining room. :)
