I learn something new on your blog everyday. Had never heard of whistling ducks before! Whistling Swans ? Yes. I had also never heard of Wednesday bird day.

BEAUTIFUL photo's! Do they really whistle? You'll have to take a video of them if you can so we can hear what they sound like ;) They really are a pretty bird aren't they...beautiful colors and markings. Love the pink legs! I hope your day is a good one.

I do love your whistling duck posts. I have this wonderful memory of first seeing them at the San Diego Zoo, and them all whistling away. It was incredible. Great pictures again.

Looks like the gang is all there...you can never post too many pictures of them for me.

My daughter (Lorelei's mom) had a mallard build a nest about 2 or three foot to the side of her front door...at the last count that I heard she had a dozen eggs....all but two hatched and the mom left shortly after. Sarah was feeding the baby and did not get to see them leave...the neighborhood has a little pond so she probably took them to it.
