What great photos! You know I am a sucker for a road...that is one GORGEOUS one! And the tree varmints made me smile...the little squirrels are so funny!
so great. looks like a fun trip. love the road, tree line view. (:
yes I love the tree-lined road, and I can feel that lovely stretch in my back from the last photograph; it feels SO good
Good morning Teressa, and I love the very same things, just magical! Happy weekend. I shall be thinking of you as I cross your state this coming Tuesday;')~
Lovely photos and such cute squirells.Hugs
I can see why and what you love! They are gorgeous..
Going through that green canopy, both mental and physical fatigue are washed away, and then entertained and inspired by lovely flowers and adorable squirrels .... what a wonderful day! I love these things, too.
All wonderful things....that first photo is beautiful!
Love that first shot. Not quite as elegant as The Oaks, but every bit as beautiful!
Love those cheerful little sunflowers!

Nice green outdoors, lovely sunflowers and a cute varmint !
I love the way you put thingsvarmints is a great wordI love all the things you love
So lovely and no wonder u love these.... The country roads are inviting, and great perspective on the tiny bird’s view :)
me thinks you love varmints more than trees since you only have two photos of trees and more of the varmints. i love the tunnel at the end of the road made by the trees. and the little bird hanging out on the tip of the limb. so cute.
Nature! Gotta love it.
Dearest Theresa,I've just finished my teaching class and enjoyed your beautiful pictures♡♡♡ I love these what you called "varmint" and would love to see them in person. Wonderful shots of their mischievous looks (*^_^*)Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
I love your pictures today, even the cute varmints who know how to capture hearts and minds even when being a nuisance. And that first picture: wow!
What a lovely post about pleasant things. I love roads like that too.
The simple things in life often bring the most pleasures! Wonderful post and pics.
A great post for Green Day . . . I liked the reflecting part . . . I think I wantbtontake our "tree animals" to the zoo. Millions of them this summer . . .
i love all the things you love...i love them too...all the things in nature that make you feel all warm & cozy inside...and smiley!LOVE your tree varmint pics!!
oh, those country roads. Great for horseback riding too!
Much the same likes for me.
I've always loved seeing the hummer "guard".Nice pictures, we will be needing them in January!
I would love to be walking down that road!
I love them too! And, when you do reflective posts!
I'd like to drive down this country road when the leaves start turning. I'll bet it will be spectacular. This month's issue of Texas Highways has an article with cover picture and many more about where to find autumn leaves in the Piney Woods, so I'm already mapping out a day trip to see if I can find some of these places in late October/early November. And I do like "varmints" better than tree rats"!
What a beautiful series of photographs, all great shots, I love the little squirrel
That road would be the perfect place to walk, and I would LOVE it!! :)The first one looks like a painting!xoxo
There is nothing better than a tree lined road...with the trees forming a canopy over our head...Lorelei calls it being in a jungle.
it's all too easy to take mother nature for granted, to forget how fabulous nature's beauty is!i would love to be walking down that road. great scenery!
I love these things, too. Beautiful shots.
I love all these things too! All of your pictures gave me a smile and good feelings.:)Happy Friday Theresa!
I wish I could go on a walk with you!*sigh* We love so many of the same things... I have a feeling we would have a ball!
When I see roads like that, shaded by trees, my first thought is always, "I would love to ride a horse down there." That is, of course, if I had a horse and still rode! Beautiful country pictures.
What a beautiful place to walk, rest, reflect, relax.
Always enjoy tree covered lanes! A disaster, though, when derechos blow through. :-[
Good gifts, all of it.
I love treed canopy roads too, I wish we had some!
That is a good place that I love so much. And the feathered friends, and the critters.
I love a good tree canopy!! You have a great eye, to catch that tiny bird on that branch.
Love the trees lining the road as you have shown - nothing better!
Hi Teresa...How inviting the shaded road...with come cute critter and blooms along the way!!Grace
Love, Love, Love that tree lined country road and All that GREEN grass, great photos.
I think those are just great shots. Very pretty. I love that first one because that is always one of my favorite looks with a tunnel of green.
Country roads are THE best and those edged with trees make them more enjoyable! I mean, just look at all the friends you've found in them!!!...:)JP
Great looking lanes with the overhanging trees. I like the animal shots too. The squirrels are such good subjects with their something-new-every-minute way of hanging around.
I love that drive way with the arch of trees - so romantic!
Love, love the first shot! An ideal walk for me...all alone, yet surrounded by nature! I also like the little bird on the end of the branch...so sweet!
"Country road, take me home...." Beautiful images and shades of green.
I'm with you on those country roads with canopies!
Nice peaceful looking road. Love Mr. Squirrel!
Canopy's are so great. I always love the feeling when entering one on a hot day while riding a motorcycle. My other fav is when the leaves change color and you have an orange canopy.
lovely place...lovely snaps!
The tree canopies are what I missed about Louisiana when I lived in Texas. Never really saw those in Texas but nice to know they exist. I loved your description that went with the hummer about reflecting on our place in the world. Beautiful.
And i like one thing... your photos :)
I share your love of tunneled or canopied roads, kinda brings out the kid in me! And amen to the tree varmints... but nothing beats your shot of the one stretched, literally, thru the birdfeeder, that one is PRICELESS! =)Thank you for the feedback, Theresa... do you happen to remember what your friend used to soothe the itching or maybe clear it up some? I'm alternating between Aloe Vera & Calamine lotion, right now... but they make Calamine lotion SOOOOO runny these days, it used to be thick where you could actually spread it around... I just don't like the stuff anymore!
Hi Theresa, Lovely photographs! I really enjoyed seeing your squirrel. Fun. Have an excellent day and a great coming weekend!
That country road is priceless. We have nothing like that here, but I wish....
Wonderful shots! I also like a 'green tunnel' very much.
here we call them tree rats ... cute tho they maybe they are destructive little things ...
Nothing like a beautiful country road! Beautiful captures for the day! I, too, love the green tunnel!!
I liked those country roads very much! And the tree varmints - they were interesting.
Sounds like a perfect way to be
T, Ha, you snuck the vermin in very nicely!Love your sentiments! When I was a boy we lived in a place just like your first shot! It was a special place! I've loved that kind of road since! Thanks for the memory
I love all these photos, but the road in the first one is definitely my favourite:)
The area that you live in Theresa is beautiful.. I love those green lanes..reminds me of France. Its so green too.The photos of the squirrel..how amazing that you can catch him running up and down the tree.We dont have squirrels here. There are a few red squirrels that are in a park in Lisbon, they are protected species...Lovely post.val

I love those canopies...the sunflowers are awesome...love that last shot...STRETCH.....
All beautiful Tex.Have a nice weekend.Costas
You know I love trees, so a tree lined country road, combines two great things... trees and country roads. Are you getting much rain?
What pretty photos! Love that long, tree canopied road and of course, the varmint photos!!! To be so troublesome, they are CUTE!
The road with the tree canopy is beautiful. How can one look at a squirrel and not smile?
love the captures of that squirrely squirrel. thanks for your visit.
That squirrel looks a bit of a rascal. From Findlay
I love these pictures! Lovely sunflowers. enjoy your weekend.
I think you might need to name that goofy one!~
I agree, a good country road with a thick tree canopy is wonderful, especially if he leaves have changed to the colors of fall.
Trees hanging over a country road are the best!
Ah! That's why I enjoy your blog so much.. we have some of the same loves. All these shots are excellent, but that little varmint wins my heart :)
I want to go down that road one of these days! Love the squirrel pics. Cute little buggers!
That road reminds me so much when I lived in the forest, in Holland:) Thanks for a sweet memory!
The tree varmints are so funny to watch, lovely critters.
So wonderful to see... xx
Squirrels are among the funniest of critters, that's for sure!
Beautiful pictures and the squirrel is qute. I have tried to capture them but ours are so fast you dont get them
That's a lovely tree-lined lane. Squirrels make me laugh too.. and say "awww" a lot. There's a young one snuggled up on a small shelf of vines, just outside of Frank's dining room window. He's keeping dry from the rain.
You write straight from my heart. Beautiful!
Those are all spectacular things to love. And oh, that road...bliss!
They are lovely images, I can see why you love them. Except for maybe the squirrels, they drive me nuts. Have a great weekend!
Lovely shots. I also love tree lined roads. There is something quite magical about them. :))
I so love how YOU love nature and the world around you. You enjoy your world so much....and I thank you for sharing some of it with us.Those little squirrels just make me giggle, too.
You took photos of some of my favorite things! I especially love the first one of the country road and tree canopy!
I would love to ride my bicycle down that tree canopy road.
Great photos again! Love that road and the tree-line.
Beautiful pictures today...most especially the little hummingbird! I do love how they sit on naked branches, guarding their territory! Mean little birds!
Your canopy reminds me of the one going back to the cabin. Soon the leaves will turn, it will freeze one last hard time and they will be gone. I will take your heat and you can have my cool. We expect frost again tonight.BlessYa
And that's why I love tree canopies! All the critters love it as well:) I go up to the second story of the building and watch the incredible wildlife show in the branches. It's pretty incredible. As a human, I like the sky covered with beautiful green leaves.
I like your tunnel of trees, too. I'll be sending you some CO squirrels!
what a great country road!
I love your shots of the country roads, always favorites of mine, and all your other shots too. Surprisingly enough I had a volunteer sunflower bloom this year too--very unusual here with our short summers.
Wow, I really like those country road shots. Beautiful!
I love that lonesome little hummer sitting on a branch all alone. At least it looks like a hummer from the back.Jo
Great choices! Now that it's cooled down a bit I'm able to appreciate these things too. :)
You will make me Texan at heart!Aloha from HonoluluComfort Spiral =^..^= > < } } ( ° >
Hello to my little friend!
Love the tree tunnels too - I'm sad to see them go after Fall. They are so beautiful. The squirrels are very busy around here too :) Have a great weekend!
I do understand those "few things " you love...we are alike , somehow...Those photos are so beautiful Theresa...Today I'm melancholic... and nostalgic...Suppose It's the menopause...thing.... And school starts Monday...And Tuesday we drive to Coimbra to know the result of the tests my husband did 2 weeks ago at the oncology hospital...We are so anxious....and nervous...And my mother is at my aunt's, in Algarve, Faro.Your photos brought some joy into my soul....LoveBS
The green canopy is gorgeous! We share the same likes. Tree varmints are always fun to watch.
Hi there - splendid set of pictures! The road look great and who can keep a straight face when you have squirrels! Thanks for the comments - just back from a week in Dubai - now all I have to do is get over the jet lag, go to a wedding and empty my inbox!Cheers - Stewart M - Australia
Such a perky little fella!
The tree canopy is beautiful as are the sunflowers! That one branch is a great perch for the hummers. Really nice composition! The tree rats are such camera hogs. :-)
Dearest Theresa,Lovely tree canopy in the first photo. You find that a lot in The Netherlands where actually the roads are a lot narrower and often lined by trees. Your photos are excellent!Hugs to you,Mariette
I see you got a hummer shot in there -- yay!
Beautiful pictures, love the tree-lined roads!! :)
Very nice & good collection, i like it.
I love those things too!
So do I!!Lovely photos of the Squirrels.I watched three chasing one another in my garden this morning.
sometimes i go out of my way just to take roads like this. just gorgeous. that seated hummer is pretty cute too! not something you see every day.
Me, too. Especially the tree canopy walk and the hummingbird. :)
Lov'in ur blog :D*New Follower*Bookishtimes.blogspot.co.uk
You are so right there is something about a country road canopied with trees. I love them. Would life be wonderful if all roads we drove on were just like the ones in your photos. Just beautiful along with all your other photos.
Awesome photos, Theresa. I love those old country roads line with trees!
