Die eigen sich bestimmt auch als guter Unterschlupf bei schlechtem Wetter...Lieben GrußCL
This is my favorite barn design and the next structure to be built on the Meadow. Mini version, of course. ;)
you always make me smile. thanks!! (:
Often wondered, "why a hip roof?"
I love that roof style...didn't know what it was called though. Thanks for the description! This is such a classic view!
I understand the concept - only too well: hips WAY out to the side.... :\
That is a huge barn! I like its hip action, very charming. Good Morning Tex!
that's a cool shape
Kind of like mine - hips, I mean.Have a great day!
ooo...my husband would like a metal roof on the house. Would that make a hip house?
phooey, i was thinking you had taken a new self portrait with a little hip action... which reminds me, i like the new side bar YOU. beautiful barn.
I've never knew those were called hip roofs. Neat.
Very nice barn and I love your title!
That's a nice red barn.
I like these designs :)
Good Morning, oh love a hip red barn, my favorite color for a barn, and that is a great barn. Blessings Francine.
You must have a wonderful and fairly extensive collection of barn pictures! Great!Have a nice weekYvonne & Raphael
looking grand/stately and useful
Just a little 'hippy!' Lol...
Looks so peaceful.
I like ones with that style!
Nice title. Love the barn. B
My gosh those barns are big. Have a lovely Monday.Best wishes Molly
It's a very hip roof, all right! :-)I wondered what you were going to lead into with that title!
its not just hip, its tip top!
Red barns are my faovrite...no matter the roof line. I have seen plenty of that color in Wisconsin!
I like this style barn better than the plain 4 walled ones-
I didn't know that was called a hip roof. I learn something everyday :)
We don't see much hip action in MN.
Beautiful picture you show :)
That is a Hip Barn but the roof is a Gable, LOL.
Being home now, I am able once again to follow blogs. I thought I was in for a treat right off by the title of this post...um, nice barn.
Nice Heron shots. And wow! Those hummers were having a field day.
Hip roof?!I didn't know that.Pearl
red barns are a favorite...
Hip rof...never heard, great picture,,
Big barn. Could fit lots of goats in there ;)
Great title and caption T!
Definitely a "hip" barn and surely a big one! You could fit a LOT of most anything there! Just the giggle I needed to start the day!!
LOL! You're getting pretty good with the titles.
You are so funny. Beautiful bright red barn you found!
thats a good shape for a barn!
A barn very well coated.a kiss.
An interesting buildingVery nice.
The top looks like a puzzle piece that doesn't quite fit in.
Lovely red barn with the hip action!
A hip barn is where all the cool cows hang out to smoke and drink, oh, sorry, different kind of 'hip' ;-)
A fine shot of this barn and interesting clarification as to what a "hip" in barn is all about.
LOL... You guys make me laugh because now when I go on vacation, I look for barns along the way. I have seen some beautiful barns lately. This one looks to be in great shape. Hip barn... reminds me of the Huey Lewis song Hip To Be Square!
Makes me feel like I have small hips. Nice barn!
In red it's nice :)
It looks like it could hold a lot of hay or is it for stock ?peter
That's a big barn, with some big hips!
how do you know these things?? i think i have one of these barns, not too far from home, i must go for a ride and check!!i like the new picture of you. did you get highlights or is that the sun bouncing off your hair?? it looks so pretty!!
Reading the title I thought you were dancing.Greetings,Filip
So if there was an earthquake would it do the hippy hippy shake?
Red barn! Barns have so many different shapes but you can still tell most of them are barns.
You know what - you have just about every type - size and color of barn there in Texas!
We see few of these around here. Roofs need to have a steeper pitch to keep the snow from piling up. Love the sound of snow finally sliding off and landing with a KA-LOOF.
That's a big one!
I've never heard the term hip roof before, now I know and that's a great barn.
I would love a barn like that someday. It is so pretty.
What a lovely barn!
Hip hip Hooray!Informative Aloha from Honolulu,Comfort Spiral =^..^= > < } } ( ° > > < } } (°>
Dearest Theresa,From the title "A little hip action", I thought it might be something to do with dancing, haha. No way with your photographer blog(^^;)Great red hip barn♪♪♪Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
I sure do love red barns!
What a hip post!
That's cool. I wonder what the purpose of that design is. ...hmmmm
Nice barn! I like that roof line!
I did not know that this what they are called--or is that just your term? Anyway, it is s nice one.
What Steve Gravano said...lol.
Thats a new term for me...nice barn!
I love old barns like that!
This one looks like it's still very active and making the owners proud:)
Hip or not....I like it.
That barn has some big hips! Nice photo!
Pretty hip barn.Kim,USA
It's always fun to find a red barn around these parts!
that is a cool barn...great job..
Dearest Theresa, For sure that hip roof will ward off lots of heat radiation. Smart hip barn.Hugs to you,Mariette
That's one sprawling barn. Out rather than up. I like it!
Never see any barns like that around here.
Reminds me of a thresher with the centre drive-through. Both sides would be for livestock. Then again, it could be used for many applications.
Up Nawth, it would have stock on either side, and hay in the "hip", oh, I can't say that. The upper part would be the hay mow!I like your new pix too, Tex, you look real thoughtful and pretty.Cheers,Jo
Definitely adds character that you don't often see anymore in new buildings!
It's a beautiful barn, but it's not what I think of when I think of "hip roofed." I think of a more rounded look to the roof. Pretty barn, though, no matter what we call it. :)
I wonder what it is used for. Animals, machinery..
This is a type of barn I like , also the color red is my favorite color. my niece got married in a barn like this. You could drive through it and they stored some hay on one side. betsy
Hi there -I'll have to take your word on the Vegas thing!I love barns that are this shape - the back of our house has a similar outlineStewart M
I've never heard that expression, but it fits definitely. I learned something today. Yay! :)
One of my friends had a barn just like that one many years ago. Sadly, it is gone now. Love the red barns best.
you always bring a smile to my face.love that barn!
Beautiful shot! Great capture! Thanks for sharing!
Reminds me of my uncles farm in Rigby Idaho. Saw a lot of farms and abandoned farms in Oregon. Had I not had so many camera problems, I could have captured them all. I got a few but mostly drive-bys. They either partially come out good or they don't. It's hard when you're not driving.
I love that style of barn! We see a lot of them around here built out of metal. :)
My hips are getting almost as wide as the barn...!!
Nice type barn. And red too!!! MB
Love the title! You had me there for a moment! Beautiful barn--much like the ones here in the Delta--red and hipped!
ok now why do they call it a hip barn? because of the shape of the building too? I like it.Felicia
Cool! And I love the color! :)
Very cool barn! I like the space underneath the center part. And the roof line. And the red.
Your barn "finds" are the best!
Great barn! (I'll be slowly catching up with your posts all week!)
