I guess "Cute" is the word for that charming barn Tex. That is what I was going to type and then I saw the other comments to the left of the comment box. Enjoy your Monday Tex! We are heating up again here-Dang! Cold front coming Thursday, fingers crossed.

Cute barn - I've never seen a designated goat barn!

Janey and Co. said...

Now that is a cute and unusual.
Have to tell you about the time my husband and I were on a trip through West Texas. I spotted a goat in the road...and started yelling GOAT! GOAT! My husband thought I was yelling Go GO! We almost hit the poor thing!

Jill said...

Love that first shot through the trees!

Debbie said...

what is the defination of "goat" barn??

is it the shape, the location?? or that you always see goats here!!

perhaps it is the cute white cut-out goat, i love how it pops off the red!!

but here's the million dollar question, where's the goats??

Mariette VandenMunckhof-Vedder said...

Dearest Theresa,

Why not goats, they're cute and playful animals. With Trader Joe's offering goat yogurt there must be lots of them around anyway.
LOVE their goat cheese and the French knew this even earlier than we here in the USA.
Happy Labor Day!
Mariette

Love the goat! I wonder if they are producing meat or milk? Blessings from Wisconsin.

It looks like a great place for goats to hang out.

How many goats fit into one goat barn . . . all tucked in?

I like the shape of this barn and I always love the red barns. Great captures! Have a wonderful day!

Linda said...

I've never seen a barn quite like that. I've seen that style, but on this one the "wings" look like they're two stories high. Room for a hayloft up there. And the center is even higher. I'd like to see the inside of it. Why don't you just go knock on their door and ask if you can take some photos? :)

Donna said...

Hey, that's a cool one, with the shape and the goat motif!

Michelle said...

Great deep, red color on this barn!

nene said...

Lovely red barn. Wondering what inspired the shape of barns and why the many diverse shapes depending on the geographic locations? This one being a 'goat' barn, why so huge, it's baaaaaad! 'bad' meaning good :-p

EG CameraGirl said...

Love that goat silhouette! For sure you know it's a goat barn. :)

Kate said...

What fun! We're visiting granddaughters today, after hubby finishes his Meals on Wheels deliveries. An hour drive to the city is well worth it!
Cheers from Cottage Country!

A fine shot of this different kind of barn. I especially like how they've made sure everyone noticing their barn would understand the kind of animals they prefer.

That's a nice, big goat barn. Very well kept, even if the grounds looks mowed, rather than eaten. Guess finding good help applies to goats, too. LOL!

a goat barn? But, but....I see no goats?!!!! LOL

I'm trying to catch up on what I've missed out on this past couple of weeks, I do so enjoy the 3rd installment of the beautiful 'plantation' like home you've shared. Don't you just wish you could live in something like that? With servants of course. Beautiful.

And the four legged sweeties with their huge bones? My goodness, those bones look as big as I!!!!

Genie said...

Not a quilt barn...a goat barn. I love it. I would love to see it. We saw those goats in Sequim with the boys, but that setup was pretty pittiful compared to this beautiful barn. Great choice this week. genie
