Late August Skies

We got the first outer bands of Hurricane Isaac coming through here the evening of August 30th. The clouds looked promising for rain, albeit ominous, as the sun set. SOOCP (straight out of cell phone) again with only the Run*A*Round stamp added.
Looking down the driveway from our front gate.

A little closer to the house area. Love the fence line you can see in the low light.

Bright sun fading fast.

As the last of the sunlight slips away.
We did not get any rain from those clouds. Got only about 1 minute of rain the following day, but the next evening's skies were also beautiful.

Good morning Therese
I think It must be stressing to know or not to know if a hurricane is coming your way.
Those sky's sure look fantastic , but frightening at the same time.
I hide under the bed covers when there is a thunder storm, which is not so many here in Portugal.
Great photos.

Chmury groźnie wyglądały i szkoda, że nie spadł z nich deszcz jeśli jest potrzebny. Pozdrawiam.
Clouds looked threatening and the damage that it does not rain down from them if needed. Yours.

Isaac was definitely a disapointment, wasn't he? But we did get an inch of rain one day early this week which has greened up our brown pastures tremendously.

Back at work today and have one taker....it is nice to have some company. You are way better with the SOOCPC than I. Bud is good at it, too, but he has had lots of experience on the trails. Your skies this week are really impressive. I loved seeing the progression. Heard on the news last night this is to be a warmer and drier winter than usual....not good. We so need the rains. I know you all do. Have a good weekend. genie

With all that glorious color, including the shades of gray, it's a shame you didn't get the rain. Some day I'm hoping to practice enough to get some decent shots with my camera phone. Yours give me something to shoot for (pun slipped out so I left it).

Oh my gosh -- that's the only way I want to experience a hurricane -- just the beautiful skies thank you! I guess you knew by that time that it wasn't going to hit near you (?). Seems like a hurricane does take enough time that people get a warning. (We worried for a while about our Florida house, but from way far away. That's the closest I've been to one.!

Dear...I think I'll have to use that "word verification",...thing for a week a so...because I'm having so many anonymous comments with advertising in my blog....that i spend all my time erasing it. It will be for a short period of time. I hate the "word verification", so as you. Then I'll take it of.
So sorry but I do not know what else can I do....
