The Winner of September's Giveaway... and another Texas blogger pal!

The winner of the giveaway is Tanna at The Brick Street Bungalow! Seems this little Carolina Wren did not want to fly very far and will remain in East Texas territory!

Thank you to everyone who entered and commented. I've got October's drawing ready to go so will be posting it in a week or so.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of Texas bloggers, I got to meet my second blogger friend this week. Sandy, aka TEXAN, and I met up at a Walmart about half-way in between our places. We gabbed while we shopped - she only picked up a few things while I had the cart laden down with dog food and a zillion other items. One thing in common, however, we both bought our favorite wines. :)
Sandy is the cutest thing - beautiful, happy, passionate, talented, healthy, and down-to-earth. She showed up in blue jeans and cowboy boots, just like on her blog's header photo. :)
The reason we finally managed to make the meet-up happen? Mammoth beef bones! Sandy saw me post about the bone picnic our pups enjoyed and asked me to pick some up for her new giant 'baby', Keeper, the next time I was at the feed store. So, even though she wouldn't let me post a photo of her, she did give me permission to post her armload o' bone bounty. Keeper is a happy boy. :)
These should hold him for a little while...
