He did some wonderful poses for you!
He stuck around and posed! We kayaked a river near us, a couple months ago, and one led our way down stream. Every time I would think I could get a shot, he would fly away. About 5 minutes later, we would come up on him again, and off he would go...felt like the chase was on. :)
You love that character :)
Lovely colours, nice reflections.:)

Greens and blues are (I think) my favourite colour combination. Love these shots. Thanks for not giving up on me, TexWis :) Will catch up with a few of your other posts this evening. Highland, huh? Who knew? You did! I'm going to google cattle breeds. Should know them since I was a village kid that grew up in farm country. Holsteins, Ayrshire and Jersey were the three most common. I think there were a few Angus (?) as well.
Nice shots! I like the green hues, and the Heron adds just the right touch of blue.
"Bendy Straw Impersonation..." too funny. Love this bird...and your pictures.

Mr. Heron looks mighty pretty inside those green reflections.
Great heron photos! I do love the reflection in that beautiful water!
That water's so jungle-green I was almost expecting a crocodile to appear!! Strange that your heron is so very similar to the white-faced heron aka blue crane downunder! Hope your weekend was awesome!
