I love to see these beautiful birds. Very nice photos. And once again, I'm amazed at all the different types of large birds you have in your area. That is one great pond to attract them all!
Such a beauty! I haven't seen our local ones up close lately.
He is beautiful in your pictures Tex but I hate seeing him/her sitting in our dying old oak eyeing our birds at the feeders.

Wow...what a thrill...great capture!
Oh, you lucky, lucky girl! To get to take all those shots is awesome.
Isn't he regal. I love raptors
A beautiful look at him! I love when I see them gliding through the skies!
You are a good spotter. I never can see them. You must have really watched to see where he landed. I always get kind of creeped out because I know he can see me and I can't see him until he scolds me. We have a love/hate relationship. He wants my chickens and I won't let our hawk have them. I never can get a shot like that or any and you got a bunch. I am impressed.
These are some nice shots!
Beautiful bird and terrific shots!!!
These photos of your red-tailed hawk are fantastic!

What a beauty! Great shots, T.I have a red tailed hawk (I'm assuming it's the same hawk each time) who visits my bird feeders. He is a cannibal and I hate him for snatching my bird friends for his meal, yet I like him because he's so wild and beautiful.

You have been awesome posting all these cool birds. Surprisingly I haven't gotten to looking at these hawks yet even though they are here in Tucson sometimes. Really exciting! Now where can I put a pond around here?:)
I'd get homesick for those yummy feelings too (fall in Wisconsin). I have only lived here or in Seattle for 4 yrs long time back. Wishing you Wisconsin weather occasionally in Texas, ok?
He is quite a specimen!
Hi Theresa, I think the "In-flight" photo is the best of your series. Good job! Have a wonderful Wednesday tomorrow.
Great photo post ~ as always! I bet you just LOVE your pond and having that water source so close to the house that you can see everything that visits. Thanks for sharing:)

What a beautiful bird! I'm intrigued by all hawks. I'm not so good at identifying them, but there's something regal about each one.
A great series of the juvie Red-shouldered Hawk Theresa! I'm certain that you know they are my favorite Buteo? They nest around here somewhere but I have yet to find their nest tree. Beautiful shots!

very nice pictures ... I myself find these fascinating birds of prey ..greetings Frank
I bet you sit out there on your deck near the pond and see the most WONDERFUL sights Theresa. Especially this time of year when the birds are migrating! Hope you got some rain down here...we got a bit but not enough to get us out of the drought. The poor lilacs are in terrible shape here on the farm. Looks like I'll be cutting them back and hoping for the best. I hope you fared better down there. Take care :)
Wow, this is a great set!
What beautiful shots of a handsome hawk! Love the patterns in his feathers!
Wonderful! You sure see a nice variety birds there.
These are incredible shots, Theresa! Glad you got to see him.
