Need a varmint fix?

A few scenes from earlier this summer. Cue the theme to Mission Impossible - no Tom Cruise suspension harness needed.

You just have to laugh at those tricky squirrels!

they are amazing creatures

Lynne said...

SOMETIMES they are fun to watch but I have tried everything to keep them at THEIR feeder and not at the BIRD feeders.

Suffice it to say, I don't have much fun watching them anymore. I'd much rather have them live down the road a bit and not be neighborly!

Breathtaking said...

They look so funny when they are spread-eagled. Never tire of watching them.

Guy's a little 'squirrelly' I'd say. Does lQQk like Tom Cruise, size wize.(lol)

The squirrels are entertaining. I just wish they would give the birds a chance at the feeders. Cute captures!

Loafer Mountain Primitives said...

I must say, you raise them well. So healthy and just look at that definition in the hindquarters! How many generations of select breeding did that take?
I miss squirels.... Don't have any around us here in Utah. I grew up in Florida, plenty there! I miss them, they're fun....

How much fun would we have if we had to hang upside down to eat? Or better yet--if we chose to? They are always fun to watch.

Great photos as always.

Varmit? Interesting term. We never use it here. These critters can really get under your skin even if they are cute. Super shots.

Want to jump on back of my chair outside and scare me.

Nice shots you got .

When its 30 below zero and there is nothing on the streets, no peoples walking about, guess who is out and busy and stuffing their cheeks with sunnies. Yep, its the squirrel family, just keeping their larder in good shape. I tell them go ahead, anything out in this weather deserves what they can find!

I can see how well fed that little er, fat rodent has gotten from eating so many sunflower seeds. He is the pretties aquirrel that I have seen in a long time. I stopped feeding the birds becasue of the pair of red sholdered haws that nest near by. I know that is the law of nature but I don't want to provide a "canned hunt" for the hawks.

I made so many typos on my comment that I seem totally stupid. If you can edit your comments, please fix those typos. It is late and I should have taken my happy little body to bed 2 hours ago.
