I love them all! Wishing you a nice Thursday!
If I ever win a million, that's what our brood will do....fence us off a hundred acres and build us a gated community behind it. Only thing is, I think fences only keep out honest people....the bad ones just climb over....might as well stay where we are.
I really like the simplicity of the third gate...simple, straightforward. It is what it is without any ruffles and flourishes.
Texas and it's land... barns, gates, and armadillos. I remember how I was always entranced by them... Oh, and the big, lanky jack rabbits! Do you ever get photographs of the "Texas" rabbits?
ach het is net waar je gelukkig mee bent ik woon in een rijtjeshuis en samen zijn wij hier gelukkig.
some interesting gateways
Oh, I love these gates..picture perfect!! Wish we had some around here..I would be taking photos of them too!Blessings,Gert
I love "gated community"! Excellent!
I wonder if any other states has as many gates as Texas???
I'm so glad I don't live in fear they way so many people living in gated communities must. But I can see your gated community is different from the kind I see here. :)
Morning......love those Texas gates but you know the star ones my fav......Blessings Francine.
We love Texas gate. Always wonder what lies beyond. Have a terrific Thursday.Best wishes Molly
Hi TexgirlLove those Texas gates!! Happy NovemberFiona
Good shots of these gates.Wish you a nice thursday Teresa.Greetings, Joop
My kind of gated community
Country stars (or Texas stars) as sure popular... I like the last gate best, looks like a working place...
Loverly gates! Looks like the Finch's are living up country!!
Love them all!
Those are some really spiffy gates. Great shots.
En blanco y en negro. Buenas fotos Teresa.Que tengas un buen día.Un beso.
beautiful gates, fancy gates, i love that tree behind the star gate, the third pic down. and i like the gate and road behind it, the last one best of all. i am wondering what house is down that road.
Great photos, gates sure are fancy in Texas.
I rather live in a gated community like the ones you show than behind some view obstructing brick walls.
Never a lack of fencing, gates and barns for you to shoot. Nice!
Beautiful gates! I'll bet the "gate contractor" was happy to see all that business! :)
Enjoy seeing Texas gates! Do you have one?
Those are some fancy gates!
Love all of these gates!
They are massive, and would be so out of place in Wisconsin--only in Texas!
Oh Tex I love your gate pics I always wonder where they lead:) B
Is it just me, or does the finch gate need a little bird in the center instead of a star?
Big and fancy for sure
Wow! Texas is such an interesting place. One day I will see something in person there other than the airport.
Yeah but they are all so pretty! I don't think I've ever seen pretty gates like that around here (of course the log entrances are more the norm too).
Gosh Tex, Texans are crazy in love with fences aren't they? sandie
Dearest Theresa,Your neighboring gates look very inviting and they sure do protect one's property.Hugs to you,Mariette
They are beautiful gates. I adore everyone you have up.In Texas people go big they say.
Oooh~ the first one was very nice!!!
Nice entry statements. I like the last one best.
I always enjoy your fence posts. There can be some pretty fancy ones out there.
all lovely! the open one is the most welcoming, of course. :)
love this series .. its so neat to get a peek into how others live ...
Great gates, I prefer the black ones!
Love the design and ironwork on that first one.
Love those Texas gates!
Very nice gates today.
Sure like that Circle W gate and the road leading you back in the trees!
Nice pictures you show. Thanks for your comment on my blog, it's really "annoying" you still have trouble getting into my it ..... unfortunately I can do NOTHING.Hanne Bente
A fine series of the great looking gates. None of them seem hurriedly made...all are good examples of artistic fabrication.
Beautiful gates/fences and SO Texas!!!
Very cool looking gates!
I like the open gates - shows that nice people will welcome you in!
More beautiful gates and fences Tex.Thanks for sharing.Costashttp://naturedigital.blogspot.gr/
I wouldn't mind having a spread like that!
Wonderful gates and they all look simple and elegant!
I want a gate at the end of our driveway...
These are all very nice.
Lots of nice fences. I am loving the blue skies.Hugs~
This place must be a "keeping up with the gates" kind of place. I always enjoy your gates. Just when i think there's no more you have more gate photos.
I just love all these gates and fences you have in Texas!
Beautiful gates and each one is very special!
Your gates are a variety of everything, from elaborate, to just plain functional.
I grew up in dairy farm country (Quebec). Interesting to see your photos and realize that, at that time, fences were only to keep the animals contained. The lanes to the houses were always open. In yours, it almost looks like the opposite. The surrounding fence looks low enough to hop over and the emphasis seems to be on a unique entrance to the driveway.
Wasze bramy są chyba niepowtarzalne i ciekawe. Pozdrawiam.Your gates are probably unique and interesting. Yours.
I like the gate with the cross, that's really interesting shape, it complements the diamonds.
I hope they are all power opening,if not it would be like the last one ......open all the time .great photos too.peter
Just popped into your blog from Cackleberry Cottage and I've added myself as your newest follower. Liked your "gated community" post....that's definitely a Texas style gated community. :)
Beautiful , like the white one
Those are some beautiful properties. I like the gate with the cross. If I had a country gate it'd have a big ol' fleur de lis on it!
That's a nice kind of gated community!
I don't particulary like those gates. The last one is okay, it looks Ranchy... Are they to keep something in or to keep something out?I jumped on board as a follower.
They're all pretty! I really like the winding drive with the last gate. :)Happy November, Texas Chick! :)
Gated here usually means expensive homes and security to get past the gate but I think yours are much more suited to my tastes. Nice finds Theresa!
Aren't the cultural differences of various parts of our country interesting? Texas has its gates; Wyoming has its chariot races; Indiana has Indy car racing...and basketball. What a great country we live in.
They have left open the gates to paradise for you.
i love the cross looking emblem fence. great collection. (:
Beautiful gates and entrances. Texas does have some wonderful gates. Great collection of photos!
I guess you could say...gated home! these are nice looking entrances!
I just realized I defnitely prefer dark fences to light fences...at least part of the time. ha....I like the white ones just fine, too...
I like the last one, understated but classy:@)
Great gates! Love your never-ending supply of them!!
Those are some mighty fancy gates!
These are great. They seem so light!
Hi Theresa, What grand gates! Have a wonderful Friday tomorrow!
I do like that white gate! Nice!
You will never run out of gates in Texas; just rain. I know since I have lived there.
Only Finches are allowed on this property. Must be FULL of thistle feeders:)
I guess the area is full of "gated communities" :)
Gate keeper extraordinaire! Aloha from Waikiki, FriendComfort Spiral > < } } ( ° > > < } } (°> <°)333><( ~ ><}}(°>
Great gate photos, Theresa... When I see 'closed' gates--it makes me want to find a way to go inside and take a peek of what is inside.... I'm so curious...Hugs,Betsy
hahaha......I heard the theme song from Dallas playing in my head while looking at these pictures. I wanna come home. I miss my people. Miss that land.
Maybe a very wide spread community with lots of gates? Those are some nice ones, I really like the star.
Great sky shots and fantastic fence shots!
Kind of like bird cage for the ol' Finches, eh? :-)
Did you found some scorpions in your living room??? Grrrumpf!!! Oh, my, Oh, my!!!These photos are majestic! You do Know I love those gates, don't you?And your photos are magnificent, dear!xoBShell
I prefer the simple "W". The first ones seem out of place to me--not fitting with the house designs. On the whole not much for gated communities--like connected neighborhoods.
Another great batch of Texas fences!
So much variety!
wow, there sure isn't a gate shortage in texas!
I loved each one!
Nice collection of gates and fences, Theresa. I think the white one is my favorite. Love the Texas star.
They are wonderful gates! I love how neat they are.
I love that black fence- very nice!
The first ones were a little too ornate for my taste. I liked the last one though.
Oh my what lovely driveways.
I really like the first one with the arches and the big star in the center! The others are nice, too.
I feel like there should be some wonderful western music playing in the background as I surfed through the gate/fence pics! I like these!
