Amazing, those shots of the cardinal's little seeds! I will show my J. He told me yesterday a guy cardinal bumped a lady cardinal to get her food by the feeder, & yet, he said, in spring the guys are very nurturing to the girls in feeding them...

A fine shot of this cardinal. I like how you managed to catch one with something in this mouth. I think he must have been making noise when I look at the changes in his beak.

One of my most favorite birds. We had lots of them at our feeder when we lived in Carolina, (he is the NC state bird!) but we never see any here in Minniesnowda!

I've never seen a cardinal in BC but obsessively followed the ones in my sister's garden (Ottawa) when I visited last year. Just love them. Perhaps I'm biased but I think your fellow is gorgeous.
