HI Teresa...There is a flock of 30 to 40 that I count for my eBird list every day plus feed, and I love them....so it is wonderful for you to have these cuties for there winter home, and your pleasure much warmer then Maine ; )

They are very pretty Theresa but quite different to our Goldfinches.

Of your recent posts I particularly enjoyed the bathing Blue Jays, the White-winged Doves and of course the very purposeful Baron with his stick :-)

how big are goldfinches? don't know if I've ever seen one unless they are small little birds and what I think are yellow warblers are goldfinches. except the warblers don't have those striking black and white wing patterns.

I've been missing the finches. We always have lots at the feeder. Surprisingly, I saw a female a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't believe it.

Three years ago I bought a special finch feeder. No finches... This year I didn't put it out and I've got several finches this year on my 'regular' bird feeders. You pictures are beautiful.

There was a place down home...actually on my brother's property...any time you passed by you could see all kinds of goldfinches. They are like little bitss of sunshine. Always love seeing them. Ours are just barely beginning to have color...so little I wonder if I am imagining it.
