That's definitely what you call colour coordination :-) All of a sudden the miles have shrunk away after seeing birds there which I see regularly every day in my garden too. Talking of decorating. ....which we don't in this house, my husband has a curious lack of understanding of the word!!....I loved the photos of Zim with the colour matching pipe fence :-)I also loved the Mocking Bird and Tufted Titmouse post and the sunny sunflower squirrel :-)
The colors DO match your blog theme! Such soft, pretty pictures! Lots of birds in the blogosphere today.
Awww...you caught them fluffing their feathers. Gray is a theme with your handsome mockingbird.
Were the doves an inspiration for your color combo Tex? We love doves at the Tiny Ten, but they seem not the brightest bird in the bird world but I love to hear them coo-coo, instant peacefulness.
I love your idea of decorating!they're lovely birds
There are far things more beautiful than a dove. I also love their sounds.
It is the BEST kind of decorating!!! LOL! I LOVE the dove grays... ;) blessings ~ tanna
My gosh they blend right in!
LOL... and I know recipes are out of the question too :-) I love doves, we have them here, although without the ringed neck.
You gave me a chuckle with your post title. Lovely doves. And nice color combination. It looks great on your blog template, too.
Nice pictures you show some turkey pigeons :)
The old dead snag of a limb makes a fine perch for the square tailed doves.
Copió los colores de las palomas, para su blog :))))Un beso.
hehe....doves of a feather, flock together! and i love these blog colors, mine are similar!at 54 i started to love cooking, you just never know!!
It's interesting how these birds seem to flock together. Beautiful feather color.
These look like the doves flying around my house. We call them Turkish Doves, so I guess it's the same species.
Haha! You make me smile!xo Catherine
It would seem you're quite good at it - this decorating, color coordinating thing... Very nice photos! - I love the color coordination even if it was unintentional.
Haha yes they really match your blog! Great photos of these lovely doves! They looks like the ones we call turkish doves, but maybe its not the same...:)
Love your color coordinating! And you are decorating your blog!
Those doves know a thing or two about decorating obviously!
Soft pretty colors repeated within and without. Lovely! :-)
That's so considerate of those birds to wear the prescribed Runaround Ranch color combo!
Whole new meaning to "flying the colours"!
I do love that color scheme. It's very relaxing. Those are beautiful doves. I don't think I've ever seen one in person.

One of my very favourite forms of decorating! I love doves, always have.
Wonderful photos, love the colors.....how can you not love a Dove, Francine.
Looks like a colony of them...perhaps there is a better word ... flock?
nice to see them about
Ptaki się świetnie dopasowały kolorami do martwego drzewa. Pozdrawiam.Birds are well matched to the color of dead trees. Yours.
We have huge flocks of these here also. They have displaced our lovely Mourning Doves.Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com http://deltacountyhistoricalsociety.wordpress.com
Ha, ha, you're too funny with the 'decorating' comment!Nice flock you have there...
It's a beautiful color combination, and I just love doves!
They certainly do blend in with their surroundings! Built in camouflage.
They are great shots!
We have collared doves here in eastern washington. They are newly transplanted and considered a pigeon.
Collared Doves are responsible for the greater part of the bird seed consumption in our back yard in UK. Sometimes the smaller birds can't get a look-in. Would you like a few more??
They are mighty fine looking, just sitting there all in a row.
What great models there!
Cool shots of the doves, they would be a new bird for me! The color coordination works for me!
love doves, love your shots!
That last comment was funny! I'm with you. My blog is not a decorating one either. Heck, I can't even "decorate" my blog! At least you can do that! Anyway, I do love seeing doves out my backdoor.
You did well! I don't know how to decorate either, so these photos are just perfect!
Since I decorate with nature's colors, this resonates with me! You are too cute. I love the way they're all assembled on that awesome log.
What a sweet family.
Ha! Just goes to show Mother Nature knows best!
Oh, I so love doves...they seem like such gentle creatures.
I love it, a color coordinated blog post. Those are really cool looking birds.
You made me giggle with the "decorating" comment. I do like those birds...such sweet faces.
Those doves are so charming in a group together.
They're pretty, and yes, they blend perfectly with your blog template! You hold the bar high for the rest of us.
Love the color mixture of gray, taupe and tan . . . Nice photos!
OoH I had to work on the humor in the last line. nice one. Good thing the does do some decorating for you.
What a great idea to base your theme colors on these lovely birds! Or was it just a coincidence? :)
Gorgeous! Good job matching the pretty birds. :)
Very good looking doves! Since we only have Mourning Doves, it's nice to see something a bit different. And it's very important to have your birds match your blog!
Beautiful colors! Stylishly understated.
They do blend in nicely.
I love listening to them in the morning.
Beautiful birds, they seem to be wearing the same colors as you are in your current blog picture. Good taste all around.
Never say never, Tex! We had one come to our feeder tree, and I thought maybe she was a pet that got away, but she was very pretty!Cheers,Jo, Stella and Zkhat
lol...what, you don't like to decorate?
Love the doves and I looove those colors. Very pretty. Some of my favorite colors.
You're so funny! I just love you!! Lovely doves! :)
Looks like a little family reunion the doves have going on there! Neat photos, Theresa! I love listening to them cooing. I just love birdsong, period. :)
We'll suck you in...just you wait and see. ; )Beautiful shots!
A very pleasing color scheme. I too like the more muted colors. And as Brian says, very important to coordinate colors on your blog. Love hearing the doves in the evening.
Dearest Theresa,I smiled with your lovely title and first color combo phrase♬♬♬ Cute to see how they lined up. Yes, really great color coronation with the tree and with your template♡♡♡PS> Thanks for your sweet comment. I kind of wish to have a teddy-bear color small poodle. But I cannot talk my husband into it. Haha, my grief must still be a great impact for him. I think your horses and dogs are really lucky being with you and the surrounded nature. Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako
I also love the muted tones of these doves.Such a great capture! We see them regularly in the garden. My husband puts out food for them every evening, and I usually have breakfast listening totheir contented cooing.Such a peaceful sight and sound.
you are very color co-ordinated. how did you arrange for the birds to come?
The colours do match. Have a terrific Thursday.Best wishes Molly
Nice shot from the doves!GreetingsAngela
Nice shots of the gathering of these pretty doves.
Fascinating Tex! Nice color combo :)
Great pic. I never see doves in groups that large. Just a couple pairs noseying around on the ground by the feeder. Must not like my roosting choices around here. Stevie@ruffledfeathersandspilledmilk.com
Those pretty little doves are certainly doing a good job of decorating that tree! Here, they decorate the panels of the horse stalls. ;)
Doves are doves until you learn the differences and then a whole new world is revealed....Eurasion, Mourning, White-winged, Common, Incan, Ruddy, etc etc etc.....and then it gets exciting:) Love your shots!
You and I are not Homemaker Magazine (Is there such a magazine?) material. And that's a good thing. Pretty doves and good colour scheme, though :) Forgive me please, for I have written too much again. Skip it all except for Bill and Black Jack's pictures and the American Dipper video :)
God's colors always coordinate beautifully in nature - - - but when I try and copy them - - - something gets missed in the translation!
This is a new dove for me!
Look at these guys. How can I be mad at them for invading? I can't.
I love doves- Eurasion, white-winged, Inca! I thing Inca might be a favorite!Blessings,Lorilee
It's hard to not like an invasive species when they're so beautiful!
How did I miss this post? Gettin' old I guess. Now my husband is sick. Prob'ly got it from me! Nice shots of the Doves. We have them here too.
Good pics of the doves! They are happy looking birds.
Oh! I thought they were bumps on a log....they blended in so well with that ol tree branch ;)
