My mom called Blue Jays "New Yorker Birds" Something about their friendliness or nasty attitude. They are a bit pushy especially at the feeder.

Still they are handsome birds.

Blue jays are energetic bathers and you caught this guy in the middle of a good bath. I'm surprised you have blue jays as I always think of them as northern I realize you have other jays.

We are cold and the birds take a bath in the cold wather. So I have ssen in the winter time in Switzerland.

Bathing birds are the best! My son must think he is bird as that is how he splashes in the tubas well! Ps....loving birding in Texas! But I haven't seen a roadrunner.
