Run*A*Round Winter Recap

This was the evening of Christmas Eve (SOOCP again)

This was Christmas day. Just a little bit of snow.
We received one more snow dusting about 2 weeks later, and that was it for winter.
Still better than last winter when we saw zero snowflakes. The year before that we had 10 inches of snow fall at once. This is how it looked then.
(And just so I don't jinx things, we have had a blizzard in March.)

Great pictures! I didn't realize you got snow there.... sounds like it's as sporadic as ours here in southeast Virginia!
Have a good weekend!

San Antonio can get 10 inches of snow, and we won't see a flake, and they are SOUTH of us! Disgusting. It's like there is a little blanket just keeping snow away from this area. Once in a blue moon, we might get something like you got earlier this year. Now, I don't remember how many years ago....maybe 5 or 6...on my son's birthday (April 4), it snowed about 3 or 4 inches here. My son in law was in Colorado at the time and they didn't get a bit of snow. Crazy! Beautiful pictures of the sky!!

How cool is that snow on Christmas day and the icicles hanging from the eves. Love your round house.

So little snow every winter I could have, because I do not like it. Yours sincerely.

Your deck is just perfect for all the wildlife pictures you take. You look almost in the water.

LOVE your home.

One year in March we had eighteen inches of snow...an unheard of amount in my lifetime.

Wishing you spring flower and lots of moisture...just not in snow form.

Only this morning , when I was speaking to my sister in the UK, did she remind me that when she was a child it sometimes snowed in june in the UK:
I dont know what has happened to our spring..well,still a couple weeks away, but its not stopped raining for days. Its diluvial rain. My garden is like a lake.
Its windy and cold.
The two photos of your lovely house!.. did you change the colour!

I thought you caught some birds going to roost or maybe a few bats in the sunset photos but no, I need to clean the screen on my computer. I like the dusting of snow pictures. But then the Big Snow one is something else all together. Pretty.

Those sunset photos are amazingly good! Wow. Your cell phone does an awesome job. Enjoyed the photos of the snow. I miss that living in Dallas, even if it didn't snow every year. I do remember getting a good dose in April one year.

What a great way to close a day, beautiful. We had a white Christmas this past year. Can't remember last time that happened.

Laloofah said...

What a pretty and gentle looking sunset. Bet waking up to snow the next morning was a bit of a surprise! But fun that you got a white Christmas (just enough to be festive, not enough to have to shovel!) But your place is pretty in the shovel-worthy snow - that was an impressive amount for your neck of the woods!

A very good picture record of previous winter behavior. The weather here was very unusual with about half the normal snowfall. There was adequate snow up in the mountains so no one seemed to complain at a high percentage of bare (good driving) roads all winter.

I imagine your snow doesn't last very long there. It usually goes pretty fast here, too, but this week we kept it around for a few days.

Dearest Theresa,
Lovely shots from the Christmas Eve sky! And now I see your deck that is going out towards the pond... No wonder you can shoot those great photos from your water fowl and other birds. Great home for observing nature. You got quite a load of snow that time. This year we have not seen a single flake... But that varies.
May I ask you what kind of roofing you got on your home? We're in the process of renewing ours. It looks shiny but that's maybe because of he dusting of snow.
Hugs to you,
Mariette
