Whistlers on Wednesday 17 - "The Shove"

I took this video through my window. There's no sound, really, and it's less than a minute long, but it just makes me laugh every time I watch it.

That birdbath is used as a platform feeder for birdseed.

If you can't view the video, I captured a few stills from it to give you the idea...
The pause.

The very determined shove.

The nonchalant attitude.

Whistling ducks jockeying for position. I see that sometimes happening with mockingbirds and chickadees at feeders.

That was too cute! The feeding whistler was NOT budging from his spot. I thought when one finally landed but with his back turned, that he might poop in the food. Maybe that's why he got the heave-ho. Loved the video and hope you'll do it more often. :)

Well, as for the video; I DID enjoyed it very much, my friend. Last year, I tried to upload one for my post. But the private one didn't work. It seems I need to go through you-tube like you. At any rate, my husband didn't want to be featured and doesn't allow me to do for his saxophone playing, haha

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan to my American photographer friend, xoxo Miyako*
