Duck Reflections

Gadwall hens from March. Shooting through some weeds, but I liked the ripples and reflections.
Look left.

Look right.

Don't blame her for falling out of sync.

Awww, those are so sweet. Love the reflections. We're seeing reflections here also; it's been raining since Weds; 8 inches so far. Glad I don't need to go anywhere today. Britt's road was flooded out, so she couldn't take Hunt to school.

Have a great day. Love ya lots!!!

The Gadwall ducks seems to be interested in the same things as their gazes are synchronized. I love the reflection on the still water. It gives me a feeling of peace and tranquillity. Something to be leisurely enjoyed.

A fine "duck" series. You are patient and therefor get an excellent variety of looks of these ducks. It's interesting to me that the three keep a certain distance from each other on the log.

The ripples in the water make it look like an impressionist painting. Beautiful.

Linda said...

Your pond provides sanctuary for lots of critters and lots of photo ops for you. It's interesting how the weeds in the foreground blur until they're almost invisible when you focus on the ducks.

Great image series you display with reflection :)

Bob Bushell said...

Love the three on a branch, it must've been put there for them.

Breathtaking said...

At first I thought the Gadwells really know how to respect each others space.. and then I realized it was a question of balance. They knew that if all three perched on the log, they had to be evenly spaced. The little guy on the right
is sweet, but not quite the right weight for the one on the left to keep his feet out of the water:)
Yesterday I saw a duck standing on one leg for absolutely ages, it intrigues me why they do this!!

petspeopleandlife said...

I always enjoy the ducks. I fogot to note if the ducks were recently photographed or if that was back in the winter.

DO you have a record of how many bird species have been seen on your property?
