Sweet! We see lots of Gadwalls in the Mississippi Valley as they head south for the winter....
The ducks are so photogenic!
Love that little one-legged stance on a floating limb... now, that's talent! ;) blessings ~ tannaps I'm a great fan of the ripples and the reflections, too.

I'd say that they're pretty agile!
Very sweet pictures. Hope you enjoy the upcoming weekend.
Shooting through the weeds added a nice feeling of peeking at them. Such a wonderful place you've got there, Tex! :-)
Love the reflections. Tricky little guy in the last shot, balancing on one foot!!!
i just came from sheep grazing in a peaceful pasture, and it gave me a sense of peace, as do these 3 little girls enjoying the peace and quiet of your pond.... i thought they were taking lessons from your dogs on synchronized staring
Reflections make picture shooting interesting! Well done.
j'aime bien les reflets
Oh, I love how peaceful the water looks... maybe they are using the reflection to check their makeup? *haha*
Hi Teresa...I love the ripple effect especially with reflections it adds a nice touch !!Nice shot'sGrace

Awww, those are so sweet. Love the reflections. We're seeing reflections here also; it's been raining since Weds; 8 inches so far. Glad I don't need to go anywhere today. Britt's road was flooded out, so she couldn't take Hunt to school.Have a great day. Love ya lots!!!
Love the reflections.
Very good shots! Reminds me of the album cover for "Holland" by the Beach Boys
Sounds like a children's book - Three Hens on a Log..cute pictures.
Beautiful ripple effect on the water. Great photos!
Nice reflections. I guess there's still a little bit of water in your pond.
That last one looks like you are interrupting her nap!
The Gadwall ducks seems to be interested in the same things as their gazes are synchronized. I love the reflection on the still water. It gives me a feeling of peace and tranquillity. Something to be leisurely enjoyed.Hugs,JB
Love the ripples and reflections! The browns and blues are so pretty together. :)
You truly have created a duck sanctuary! Beautiful reflections. Have a nice weekend!

Love your ducky reflections for the day!!
Cute, and great reflections.
Ducks out on the water, staying dry on floating branch? How funny is that!
So beautiful....lovely weekend...xxx..!
awww - they sure are cute!
They have an uncanny ability to perch at exactly the same length from each other.
Duck sharing at its best!
Synchronized Staring! Sort of.
Aw, soooooo cute. If it were the whistlers, I'd have to call them the thee stooges! Happy Friday my friend.
Great shots! There is just something about water shots that ripples my heartstrings. I really miss living on the waters edge.'love & hugs from afar'
A fine "duck" series. You are patient and therefor get an excellent variety of looks of these ducks. It's interesting to me that the three keep a certain distance from each other on the log.
Love the duckies...always!
The ripples in the water make it look like an impressionist painting. Beautiful.
Your pond provides sanctuary for lots of critters and lots of photo ops for you. It's interesting how the weeds in the foreground blur until they're almost invisible when you focus on the ducks.
Beautiful ducks and reflections! :)
Everything about your photos have me smiling this morning. Happy Friday...Hugs~
Interesting reflection photos, Theresa.Hope you have a good weekend.Hugs,Betsy
One-normal, two-puffed up, -three-one leg up. Cool photos girl! How are Baron and Louise?

ducks are so funny the way they turn their heads. TFSFelicia
Great sequence of reflections! You can lead a duck to water, but they will find a float.
Wonderful photos. Makes me want to go for a walk down by the river. LOL Have a lovely day, friend.
They look quite content soaking up the March sun!
You take us right up next to nature with your photos--I love it! Those hens are pretty. I don't know that we have those around here.
Beautiful reflections of those ducks, great photos, I like!
Great reflections here , but not only. Those little "girls" are really cute!
Very, very pretty shots. I love the reflections.

You have such wonderful 'eye' and friends! :-)
So cute...three little ducks floating on the water....three little ducks doing what they outta...they stood together on a limb one day and they looked to the right then the other way....they were just three little ducks floating on the water...quack, quack, quack.
wonderful water pictures. I love reflections.
We have a duck and drake hanging out in on out pool cover the last few days. I like to watch them feed - one eats while the other keeps watch. They do look goofy when they are looking about.
There's something about reflections that is so mesmerizing. I could watch them all day.
These are precious....it brings out the little girl in me. Three darling babes all in a row. Sometimes the reflections are like blurred, abstract art. So nice. Have a nice weekend. The rains are returning on Sunday.Thank goodness it's tomorrow that Buddy runs ANOTHER race. genie
T, great reflections! Poor gal on the left had to stand with her feet in the water!
What delightful little duckies!
Terrific images! I really do like reflection shots. P.S. I've been over a local lake getting photos of Loons.

Very cute, I like your captions, too :)
I bet you did have to sneak up on them and stay behind the weeds. They are completely unaware of you. Good job!
Nature provides! Wow! Excellent and endearing photos for Reflections ^_^

So sweet! Number two looks like me...a bit pudgy! ;)
I still have duck envy. Love these!
I love those reflections...
Aw so cute, wonderful reflections too.
Aw so cute, lovely reflections too.
Lovely photos ...I like the reflection too-KAT-
I swear you have a odd place perching cult for ducks over there--lol! ;)
It's nice to see somebody using wood perches besides the soldier ducks! :-) Obviously, balance isn't an issue for them. Cool shots!
Dearest Theresa,Cute shots from your one-two-three hens.Happy weekend to you,Mariette
Couldn't help smiling at the cuties :)
Great image series you display with reflection :)
Love the three on a branch, it must've been put there for them.
At first I thought the Gadwells really know how to respect each others space.. and then I realized it was a question of balance. They knew that if all three perched on the log, they had to be evenly spaced. The little guy on the rightis sweet, but not quite the right weight for the one on the left to keep his feet out of the water:)Yesterday I saw a duck standing on one leg for absolutely ages, it intrigues me why they do this!!
I always enjoy the ducks. I fogot to note if the ducks were recently photographed or if that was back in the winter. DO you have a record of how many bird species have been seen on your property?
You get some great birds at your pond Theresa.
They were attentive to see you did :)) good reflexes!Have a great weekend.A kiss.
Great cute of these cute ducks!
Your captions make me smile.
They are beautiful! I have never seen them, other than in books. Thanks!
Nice shots! You're right - the ripples and reflections really add to the composition!
I love that perspective and the water is such a pretty blue.
Have you become addicted to A&E's Duck Dynasty yet? We have. Sigh. Si? Double sigh and a groan.
This crack ducks were sitting so nicely for you :-)Cute face in a row on a stem in water lol .....
So nice of those cuties to pose for you! Nice reflections and ripples of water.~Lindy
ha ha. Love the reflections upon the water's surface too.
