Goofy ducks!

Walking out to the barn one afternoon, I noticed the whistling ducks perched all over the fencing and horse corral panels. These were taken with my cell phone.

 Linking to Friday's Fences

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The horrible tornadoes that hit last night were west of us. We got hit with rain, wind and thunderstorms after midnight, but are fine here. Bless the folks of Granbury and Cleburne - truly devastating.
Pretty good balancing act! Glad to hear you were safe last night.
They remind me of the ducks in the shooting gallery at the carnival midway. I wasn't aware of the tornadoes and will check that out. I've passed through enough aftermath areas that I don't ever want to see one from a safe distance now.
Sylvia K said...
Fun shots!! Glad you didn't get hit by the storms! I've seen enough of those during my years in Texas! They can be devastation!
Its funny how the ducks gathered as if they were discussing mission control. "This thing is coming, you go there, warn those people. You go south, warn them there may be a swarm of guests. you go north and keep watch. Quack Quack"
don said...
I'm glad you were not touched by the most violent part of the weather. Fine cell phone shots of this unusual behavior of the ducks.
Those Ducks are truly funny birds. Our Ducks stay on the ground they don't even fly--well I guess they do fly but they mostly swim in the pond or make a mess elsewhere.
Glad the storms missed you but sad about the other folks. MB
No doubt! The ducks have taken up squatter's rights at the Ranch!
Terrible storms last night for sure. I feel for the effected folks this morning also!
I'm surprised there wasn't a Looney Tune cartoon that included whistlers, they'd be perfect.
Hi Theresa, I was certainly thinking of you last night. So happy you did well in your area. In the past, I have been to both of the towns that got hit. So sad. My thoughts and prayers are with the folks in TX. Your ducks are so cute. These ducks are said to be in FL but I have not yet seen any. Have a good day (hope you have better weather, too).
My brother lives in Mansfield...had to google where Granbury was....whew....not close enough to worry about them. Glad you are fine, too. We had a whopper of a storm last week. We got lots of lightening and thunder last night but no hail this time. Somebody got baseball size hail south of here. I can't remember who it was. I cannot even imagine hail that big.
Love you pictures, as always. God be with us all during this season of storms.
