Ooooh~ so pretty! I love the mallards' colors~ they make quite a handsome pair! :)
For some reason Stuck In The Middle With You by Stealers Wheel is now playing in my head. Lovely shots. :)
So many different visitors. Handsome.
Well, it's rare, but your birds today are some of the same ones we have in our neck of the woods!Happy Saturday!
Wonderful variety at your pond. It is nice that they all happily share.
Great pictures! I've never seen a great egret in person, only cattle egrets.
I know there's a joke in here somewhere, but I don't know what it would be -- It's still early I guess!! :-) But they are the kind of company I'd enjoy!
And I wouldn't know which way to look. Love the Heron shot.
Every where you look there are beautiful birds. :) Love the Mallards!
Looks like a family gathering with all the in-laws around. :)
het word steeds al mooier.
How very nice they share! Makes for some great photos Tex!Good Morning!
How did I ever get by without visiting your pretty pond on a regular basis? It makes me so happy to see your pictures, Tex. They are so peaceful! Have a great weekend. :-)
Visitors to the Pond are many and a diverse lot for sure!
Morning Tex oh I just love coming here you start my day out perfectly. It is warm and sunny here and I was thinking about you as I watched my Eastern Bluebirds all lined on the fence just behind the house just waiting to be photographed I said to myself Tex can capture this perfectly and they are so beautiful imagine the art you could make. I did manage to catch a wing:) Hugs B
Quite a concert you have going on there. I love the Great Blue heron.
A Great Blue Heron is a bird that I've ALWAYS wanted to see!! I have never seen one in the wild. Beautiful captures!!
Lots of lovely visitors at the pond. I enjoyed your photos.. Hugs~
You've got your own nature reserve there.
Egrets are stately looking birds!
I love these pictures.
Your pond is never boring and we agree it is like your own nature Reserve. Have a super Saturday.Best wishes Molly
Like your LEFT . . . RIGHT . . . and MIDDLE too . . .I ALWAYS like what you bring to the table . . .
Beautiful! Egrets have beautiful profiles.
one of these tall and handsome birds is laughing at YOU or maybe at US... there is mallard love a going on in the parking lot of Walmart
Ah, great pictures of the Great Egret and the Blue Heron. Even though one would think that they are related, they are a separate specie.Lovely pair of mallards.Have a great weekendHugs,JB
Nice to see them all get along!
I'm so glad that egrets managed to survive the desire for their feathers. So many birds did not and are now not here for us to enjoy watching instead of wearing.
I think you had a waterfowl convention ;-) Fantastic photos1
The egret appears to be sassing the heron, but the heron seems unperturbed. The geese apparently ignore their larger cousins.
I love them! Cheers from Cottage Country!
The egrets are always so elegant.
Is that kind of like being Malcolm in the Middle? LOL! beautiful shots. blessings ~ tanna
I love God's creation. Have you ever made a list of how many different creatures you have photographed?
Gorgeous birds, the blue heron always look so majestic.
Great shots of your pond visitors!
I love these pictures.I wish you a great weekend.Best wishes, Irma

Your February is lovely...we were totally frozen.Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com http://deltacountyhistoricalsociety.wordpress.com
Love your visitors/residents.
A bird's instinctive ability to know enemy from other birds that are easily tolerated is amazing to me. How do they know? A fine post. I hope you're having a good weekend.
The heron is Beautiful. Hope to see one here soon...at our pond nearby it was one last year
These are very beautiful pictures.
They are all lovely creatures, and for some reason the Blue Heron is my most favorite. Maybe it's their personality?
Hi Theresa, Simply marvelous! I sure love the Great Blue Herons - any and all! Have a fantastic weekend.

Isn't that nice?? Now why can't we reside in peace too??
Wow...they are just beautiful birds! I love the close up shots of the egret and the blue heron!
Ducks are lovely, great shots.
I've never seen a great egret in the wild. Beautiful.
Ha! Love it. Wish I could get that close to a Heron!!
OK - was the egret yapping at the heron for being too close? Love the way they walk - just like an Egyptian!!
the blue heron is gorgeous!
Great action shot of the egret. Was he fussing at the ducks? LOL
The egret looks so elegant until he opens his mouth! Then he looks like aggression on the march! Adore that first photo! And the mallards are so colourful together!
The great egret is an awesome bird.
Can't get better than that!
You've got the United Feathered Nations down there!
