What a straight line they made! It's fun to see the patterns of their movement as well as the birds themselves...
You do have a great variety of ducks around your pond. Those turtles are really large, do they nip your toes?
Oh Tex I just love coming here. Hug B
Loved the parade and a wee bit bit of teal . . .
1st thought - follow the leader. cool birds. ( :
I love that they're all in a row:@)
I wish I got the variety of waterfowl here that you do! Maybe I need the hubs to build a pond closer to the house. ;)
Glad to see what these look like since my granddaughter's middle name is Teal, after the duck. ;) blessings ~ tanna
I love the teals and the turtle duck parade!
Don't think I have ever seen these. Turtles looked like they were trying to line up too!
You have such wonderful wildlife that visits you!! How Cool!
I don't know if I've seen that type of duck before. Those turtles - wonder what they were doing?
Hey, I saw a couple of blue-winged teals here the other day. I wonder if they are the same ones. :))
Oh what a parade it was!
That bit of blue is really nice! I always find that turtle pose a bit odd, with their head held up like that.
Are those snapping turtles? They sure are big! And the ducks are pretty, hens and drakes together. :-)
Water level looks a little low there...
Beautiful kind of duck parade.Regards, Irma
What a lovely parade...a joy to watch them:)Have a great day!Shantana
It's so nice to see your pond 'alive' again after that horrible drought.
Give'em a beer or two and the'll flash.
I like ducks, but I just can't get enough of turtles! And this reminds me that I need to check out my favorite turtle spa, a little nearby pond that has an old log floating in it - where the cute turtles congregate on a sunny day.
I know this is about the ducks and they are very pretty BUT those turtles are HUGE!!!!!!!!!
A regular flotilla of ducks showing off for the turtles!
Hi Tex, Neat captures! Wondering what feeds the pond? Creek, spring, etc? Have a great day. John
They are very pretty ducks tho and I love the pattern on the drakes faces. The turtles looked like they were watching!
The ducks must get to know you by now. Great photography. You have lots of turtles around the pond.Hugs,JB
They think they are the Beatles on Abby Road.
I wish we could send you the turtle my son brought home after someone dumped it at the PETCO nearby. It's a red eared slider, which looks like what you've got in your pond. They are southern, not native to this area. The turle is too big for his tank, probably why someone dumped it, and needs a new home. We are not permanent turtle keepers, and feeding him fish ever few days is getting..old. *sigh* Mind if I slip him into your pond?...lol..
Wow those turtles are huge. You can see how big by the ducks. Have a terrific Tuesday.Best wishes Molly
Couldn't tell - but look like red-ear sliding turtles? Nice lazy day with ducks and turtles!! Lucky no gators :-}}}
Dearest Theresa,Oh, the turtles sure didn't seem to mind the duck parade p;) Hens have blue wing and drakes have cute white parts on their faces♡♡♡Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan to my American photographer friend, xoxo Miyako*
I love those ducks! I'll have to show this post to Livie when she gets home from school. She'll enjoy a post full of ducks and turtles!
and the lead duck said, "swim like this" or maybe "follow me guys"
Hi Teresa...Did I ever laugh when I saw you post.. I had been thinking what I was going to use for WBW.I haven't posted it yet!! "YUP" great minds think alike same duck without turtles ; ) and only one shot with the wing color showing lol love it!!I love your parade, nice!!Grace
I sound like a broken record, but your property is a waterfowl sanctuary! I've seen the green-winged teal but not the blue-winged. How special!
ah wat mooi het lijkt wel een parade.
Nothing like a front row seat for the parade :-) You grow some healthy-looking turtles! Do you guys get snapping turtles?
What a cute duck parade!
Now I can believe the origin of that phrase: "having all your ducks in a row." :-) Very nice series. I'm glad you live in a place that has migrating birds come through.
A lovely parade indeed! And I enjoyed seeing the turtles, too. You have a great habitat for all kinds of wildlife.
Definitely "ducks in a row"! Great capture....with those most interesting turtles adding to the scene!
Darn, about the drakes not flashing ya!
Lovely little splotches on blue on the wings. Gosh, those turtles look huge!
Oh those stinkers, didn't want to show you their stuff.
I love those HUGE turtles!!
Okay this confirms it, you do live in paradise.... good for you, have a great day friend.
The turtles are rather an unappreciative audience for that beautiful parade! Good thing you were there to watch. Your pond is so great..I love your casual "a few.. teal dropped by"... I'm thrilled to see one bird at a time in my neighborhood ;>)
love the duck parade. Are those snapping turtles?Felicia
Haven't seen teals here. We have mallards though.
Now I'm humming the "William Tell Overture," after seeing those masked drakes. What beautiful color on the wings of those hens!
I saw a number of turtles crossing the road during my trip. They must be easier to avoid than the armadillos.
Wow, I'm glad you got the shot of the blue wing. It's gorgeous. Love the turtles, too. Your wildlife posts are always a treat. Have a great week!
Don't you just love a duck parade. Neat shots---turtles too. MB
Awesome! How cool that the turtles were there to watch the parade too :)
They look right at home together!
Love the procession!
That looks like a line of naval ships sailing past the amphibious units waiting to deploy.
Beautiful nature !!...love from me...xxx...
Very lovely ducks.
Such a wonderful series of shots! Love the turtles.
Love teals!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Hey ... what COOL visitors. Loved the parade across the pond.
We had as many as 12 Teals on our pond and I thought a pair of them would maybe stay and nest. But I haven't seen them for several days now. It was fun to watch them. Love your shots and wow, what big turtles you have there!
I guess you had all your ducks in a row
Beautiful ducks! and you know I love the turtles! :))

Yes, I think you've done a nice sequence with these ducks!
Gracious sakes, those turtles are as big as the ducks!
Lindo passeio dos patos! Ótimos registros!
I love how they always glide along the water in a row. The turtles add character to them. Great shots.
Lindas fotos do passeio ao sol ag
The ducks look so calm on the outside and they are paddling so hard below! Ever think about that? sandie
Love the hint of blue. When I was a kid I'd have wanted to take one of those turtles home with me.

I love visiting your pond and all the wildlife, so beautiful, thanks for sharing, Francine.
An interesting combination as they move about their business on the pond.
Wow! I admit that I haven't seen a "duck parade" in years! This is a very nice collection of images Theresa!
So nice to see those teal ducks, I suppose it's not the same I've seen here in Sweden. Lovely to see turtles like that! :)Greetings Pia
Lovely ducks I don't get to see over here...
It's lovely how they swim in one line, and love the turtles in the background.
A great series - lovely to see the Teals and Turtles so close together.
So much wildlife, you must spend all day watching, ducks are so cute.
They act like they know just where they are going! Nice photos!
My goodness, those two pairs of Blue-wings and the row of turtles on the shore look just like the picture I took here in Illinois just yesterday morning. I had to look twice!
Beautiful ducks and those turtles look so big!Great captures!Dimi..

They didn't flash you! :)Thanks for the laugh. I was beginning to wonder where the "blue wing" came from. Looks like the turtles lined up to see them.

LOVE this series, Theresa! You really do have all your ducks in a row!! LOL. We've been really busy, so haven't had much to visit blogs. That'll continue for another couple weeks. We have lots going on. Don't give up on me. If I don't get a chance to comments, I'll be for sure looking in on your blog.
LOVE that blue wing! And the turtles in the background add such an extra delight!
that's lovely !
Love the name of these birds. Incidentally, I just my lovely bird drawing of yours into a bedroom with a goodly number of paintings of birds. Fits beautifully!!

The teals were playing Follow the Leader!
AHHHHHHHH, CUÁNTO AMO LA NATURALEZA. MUY BELLAS IMÁGENES.UN ABRAZO
Rose stole my words. :)I'll say it anyway - Follow the leader and hurry past the sunning turtles. How do you get anything done. I'd be watching that pond ALL THE TIME!
Love it! You have some great company!
So nice of the teals to stop for a photo shoot! :)And the turtles are of course adorable!
Great image series. Fun to watch the ducks swim "parade" - a row :)
Lovely series of photos!
oh ça me fait penser à mon lac avec ces tortues et canards
The white section on the face must be a real give away to which duck you are looking at. Nice looking duck!Cheers and thanks for linking to WBWStewart M - Melbourne
What a fun parade!
Some awesome set of pictures!!! [looks like your pond has a lot of water...'round here, it's so dry, even the lakes are less than half capacity]
Cutest parade I've ever seen
Haha, I like the shots with the turtles too, they seem so oblivious to me!
love, love, love that duck parade!soo cute!
What a great post! Everyone is enjoying life, as it should be!
no duck parade is complete without the "floats."
Love how that one turtle has all his arms and legs splayed out. He is taking his tan seriously.
I adore turtles. I saw quite a few out sunning when we visited Texas one warm week in March. And we found an empty turtle shell that we brought home to MN. I've been wondering what kind of turtles those are, that you have in Texas? We mainly have painted / mud turtles and snapping turtles here.
What pretty ducks! I've never seen these.
What a great parade!! I love it when ducks flash their splash of colour!!
That's a very nice parade!
Love the sight of them 'marching'
It amazes me how fast turtles are at a ponds edge - very hard to capture with a camera if they see you!
Neat ducks, but I always love seeing the turtles best. Hope your dogs aren't getting too many this year.
These are the much more elegant of the ducks!!!
ducks and tortoises, what a lovely place.
Nice looking ducks.
Your ducks and turtles appear to have made lasting friendships. genie
