Wonderful pictures! I visited Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park four years ago when we were in Texas for a wedding and saw those birds. The park was definitely the highlight of the trip. ;)

I still think they're goofy looking, but the white ring around the eyes is very noticeable in these photos. I can't decide if they should be called handsome or pretty.

They are delightful. I have a suspicion that they know they are being filmed..
I recently have been told of a place where there are hundreds of ducks.. The estate is called "Herdade dos Patos".. i am going to take a drive there..see whats going on. I used to get some wild ducks settle on my overgrown spring pond at the bottom of the garden , but they dont come anymore.
