No doubt that was pretty freaky for Texas:@)

I love these photos drops of rain, ice are magical..
More coming this weekend after the rain.
I'm most impressed with the barn. it's gorgeous! ;)
Ice is so photogenic, I think...nice barn shot, too!...:)JP
Morning Tex that sure is pretty hope all is well and you did not have to go out in it. Hug B
I love the water hanging on the fence in those first couple of pics.
Wow, very pretty I think....love the tree icicles.....Francine.
Although ice has its hazards, it IS beautiful. That last shot with the barn is my favorite!
Can't believe you get ice! Not what springs to mind when I think of Texas...
Ice is beautiful! Not for driving or walking...but, on branches and fences.
We agree ice is magical. Have a tremendous Thursday.Best wishes Molly
Makes for some pretty photos.
I always love stopping by your blog. It's such a comfort to me. I stay chronically homesick. Merry Christmas and have a fabulous New Year in my home state. I hope it's the year we get to move back.
No snow?! Oh, you poor deprived thing!!
The one of the red barn is my favorite. I'm glad to see the cold front move out!!!
Ice makes for some pretty scenes.
Ice is always best enjoyed through the lens and not behind the wheel.
icy fences is something new on your blog.. i love that barn and the ice on the tree branch is a perfect decoration.
Nice photos, TexWis!I hope you are nice and toasty now!
Very good photographed Theresa.....i like themGreetings, Joop
Your winter is very mild as compared to our. We have lots of snow on the ground and it' -12 C. or 10.4 F. The sun is shining and the snow is glistening like fairy dust. Very pretty...Keep warm.Hugs,JB
Freezing rain is pretty when the sun hits it but it skeers me. I hate what it does to the trees! Crackin' and pop!! Strange to see that in your bit of country Tex!
Day after tomorrow, the days start getting longer again!
I would imagine that's a bit unusual for you! Ice can be really pretty, as long as it doesn't break down power lines and tree branches!
I don't imagine that happens very often - makes for nice sparkly photos but I hope no damage to trees, etc.
Ja dat kan zomaar gebeuren, maar je hebt er wel mooie foto,s aan over gehouden.
Those icy days do make for pretty pictures, but that's about all!!!
I love that last shot...looks like mini lights shining from the branches. Hope your warming up by now! The temps are going up in our neck of the woods also...YAY
Ice is beautiful to look at but not to be out in. I would rather have snow than ice but I can do nicely without either one. :-)
Wonderful landscape cold winter in these beautiful photos!
Dearest Theresa,We too get seldom snow but such an icy display changes the world for a few hours. One needs to grab the camera rather quick as it soon is melted.Hugs,Mariette
Looks like California now. Cute barn.
Wow I think we live in the same area. No snow only ice and frost on the roofs,Well at least you got a bit of weather. :)
Ice puts on a magical show. I love the drops hanging from the fence.
Love the barn shot, although that barn would look good in all seasons!Peeing down here in the UK with just our first wintery slush mixed in with the rain, the snow must be imminent.
Love your barn and the droplets of water!! Stay warm!!
Oooo,Love that barn! Those are pretty pathetic icicles by South Dakota Standards. I bet it's a nice change of scenery for Texans? We're in for more snow later today, I'm hoping for some good photo opps and having my you-know-what froze off!
Great photos Tex!!!I like the drops hanging from the fence!I tmust be so cold out there!!!Have a nice and warm evening!Dimi...
Yes, it looks cold there, hope it didn't last too long. We had more freezing fog here this morning, but that looks more like frost.
It's fun to see ice on someone else's blog besides my own. :))
No ice around the pond, bird baths or dog water bowls?
Lovely photos !
Love your barn and the first shot of the icy fence...almost like miniature Christmas lights. :)
Ice is so beautiful yet so destructive at times.
The ice on the fence and branches make for beautiful pictures! Not fun driving and it's hard on trees and power lines. But still beautiful!
Wonderful icy shots!
The weather has been a bit nutty in my hood too. I love the ice photos, just don't want to be in it..brr :) Have a great day T
These are beautiful icy photos, but I do know how Texas is known from some black icy roads at times, and they aren't quite as pretty!
The ice can be a pretty trim to object when it's light and doesn't weigh to the breaking point. Nice shots.
You are fortunate that's all the ice you got... I understand that the ice really played havoc in a few nearby states. Ice is certainly photogenic though, nice pictures!
Icy, wow, we haven't had any, YET.
You captured some good ice covered fences. I did not get out to find any.
Ice is just so beautiful. It can be dangerous,of course, but so lovely to photograph.
I love ice for photography but not on the roads and power lines. Beautiful captures.
Icicles are magical, and I like the fence photo so much. Take care on those roads. Cheers, Jean.
The icy pictures are beautiful, however,I do not enjoy driving on ice.
Looks cold but still also looks pretty.
I just love ice on things as long as everyone can stay inside. Ice storms are so dangerous!
Ice storms are wicked!!!Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com ¸.•*¨*•♪♫♫♪Merry Christmas ♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸♥˜”*°•.˜”*°•.˜”*°•.★★.•°*”˜.•°*”˜.•°*”˜”
Love, love, love that red barn!!
Strange weather there in Texas. But stranger still was a photograph I saw last week with snow coating the pyramids in Egypt. Don't tell me there isn't climate change!
It looks just like Oregon right now. :)
Does not compute...ice, by you? Pretty though.
I really like that last shot!
I didn't realize that it would get so cold in Texas! ;-)
such pretty little sparkles!
That kind of ice is beautiful and makes for some great photo ops, but it can be nasty, too, bringing down power lines and tree limbs and making mobility almost impossible.
I bet it's really cold though! :)xoxo
Oh my. Everything looks so cold and frozen. At least you did not have to deal with the mess that snow leaves behind.
The fence is very cool, it looks like little jewels.
T, seems funny to see ice in Texas! We haven't actually had much ice so far. just one cold snap. But they are forecasting snow for today and tomorrow, so that might change!
So beautiful coulors! Nr 2 is my favorite :D
I really like that second shot!
Aye-yi-yi . . must have been super cold.Pretty - but cold.
It looks cold, I can only assume this is unusual for Texas!! Love your barn, it's so classic and beautiful!!
Don't know about you...but I got cabin fever!
They are beautiful! I can't believe it's cold enough for ice to from there!
The trees and fence look pretty with the icicles. Love the barn shot! I am sure you are not used to seeing ice there, or am I wrong? The weather can be so weird. Have a great evening!
So moisture like this should give you green grass again.
pretty ice droplets. Love the red barn shot.Felicia
Rather have snow than ice. But-moisture is nice, anyway one gets it!
Ice, as long as it doesn't linger, has its charms too.
A lovely photograph of the barn, seemingly quiet in the early morning.Frosty days can be good if there's no slipping and sliding.
Looks cold to me! Hope you have gotten a warmup by now. :-)
Ice in Texas...that does not sound right :-) Hope the tree branches did not break. Love your barn shot. It’s always FUN to go see E.
We didn't get ice this far down. It looks pretty there. Did someone fix the barn door? It's such a pretty barn but I kind of liked it lopsided if that is the same barn.
I love your shot of the icy branches and the red barn! Ice on the trees is pretty to look at but I can do without it. So far we have had none.
Your red barn door - it's not lop sided anymore! Your barn looks like it is freshly painted to. Very pretty.(I miss your black cat in that barn window)
sorry i am late today T... been out helping my parents with Meals On Wheels. busy day. i love the icy shots. so pretty. great day. hope it was not too tough for traveling in though. ( :
Ice is always so beautiful, but such a pain in the rear.
I was thinking you must not have gotten the same amount of ice that we did. They are still clearing out the fallen limbs around here. It's sad.
Your home wears the cool weather well!
These are great. Love that barn.
Brr, I didn't know that it would get that cold down south in your neck of the woods. Beautiful photos.
Hard to believe you got ice and cold weather.
The last shot with the barn is my favorite!
Bill trucks through TX a lot, he has been catching the bad weather all over.
Ice hanging on the fence looks like small bulbs. They look so beautiful...
They do resemble those mini-lights. What a lovely touch the ice adds. Glad you didn't have more of it.
Pretty cold! :)Love the barn shot!
Nice images. The barn looks charming !
I don't like either, but I'll definitely take snow over ice!
Lovely pictures! Frozen raindrops are pretty :)
The ice is very pretty, but I imagine it made driving tough for awhile.
Nice Tex, ice makes really good pictures. We have a lot of freezing rain here and it make driving impossible.
Your barn photo is just gorgeous!!! :)
Loving the farm life...and I always love the barns. Falala and Aloha to you!
nice shits, theresa, i really like that last one of the barn! looks so charming! the drops hanging from the leaves and branches are just gorgeous, too.
We had a bit of icy drizzle last night -- just enough to make the morning drive for my guys interesting. :)
Pretty! But not exactly Texas-like!
Nice shots. I would much prefer snow to ice.
Love your snazzy red barn! So glad that ice is gone.
The hanging ice does make some pretty pictures :)
I don't think it's ever been that cold where I live. I'm pretty sure it's never snowed here. At least as long as they've been keeping track of such things. Cold but pretty! Love your barn and wish I had it.
I'll take snow over ice any day.
This looks like what we had about three weeks ago. I like the barn shot! Nice to see that damn door is fixed. :-)
I very much like the droplets of ice hanging from the fence wires. As well, that is a lovely image of your barn!~Lindy
Lovely captures. Hope you all survived the cold snap!
Ice can be beautiful!
