Aren't they beautiful? I have about a dozen who stop by to visit (and be fed). I just love their little quacking, waddling bodies heading toward me... I mean, heading toward the corn!

we were visiting some friends several years ago who live near the Erie Canal and a pair of mallards showed up in their yard one morning hung around for about half a day and then went on their way. love the new header.

Ha ha well yes, you are absolutely right, however my husby will say it every single time, and he may be teasing but goodness. He will say look at those Geese when it is Mallards and he will say look at those Ducks when it is Canada Geese... Have a very Happy New Year sweet Theresa! We all appreciate you very much!

Those were the only ducks we ever saw growing up in Minnesota (suburb of Mpls). You really caught the males glistening head! :)

You leave here very nicely how ordinary mallards still are very nice. The color ones especially the beautiful green head of the male is beautiful to see.
