The Almost 'Yin and Yang' Dogs

These two, although not related, don't seem to mind snoozing together. Baron (the Black Lab) and Thelma Jean (the Catahoula/Pointer mix) seem to end up next to each other quite often.
Thelma often relaxes with front feet crossed (not shown here) whereas Baron often sleeps with back feet crossed.

Like synchronized commas. :) Louise and BB in the distance.

Linking to the NEW Saturday's Critters hosted by Eileen in MD.

Enjoyed seeing a bit of Yin and Yang this morning. I love watching the language of pups and the increasing vocabulary! Smart indeed. Although Snickers lives alone she has three dogs she is in relationship with. One cousin, one friend and one "wanna be more than friend." The "dance" continues with all three.

Liked the synchronizing of porch pups and the two in the distance. Watching/observing/protecting going on, I think.

And to think there are some people who think I am nuts! Do I care . . .

KB Bear said...

I've read that dogs who are very deeply bonded tend to adopt similar or mirroring positions. It looks to me like you have a pair of true friends there.

Our first two dogs were a pair of Lab littermates who had spent a lot of time in a kennel together before we adopted them. They seemed to always want to be right next to each other and were always in the same positions. It was wonderful to see.

I've never seen the back paws crossed like that!
