He is so adorable! I agree that he is well prepared for winter. It's so interesting to me to see the brown in his fur. Our squirrels are all gray. I like seeing the differences in animals around the country/world.

perhaps bubba's not sharing?! my squirrels have been crazy lately, chasing each other, chasing birds, but they never made an appearence during yesterday's snow. the birds appreciated their non-attendance!!

My son is living in North Carolina trying to convince his new co-workers and neighbors that Texas squirrels are bigger than the squirrels in the Carolinas. Your pictures should be all the proof he needs.

Now I'm not sure why your squirrels have to prepare for winter. I know my little red squirrel spends some time (7 - 14 days) curled up in his nest when it's cold.

That is one very fat squirrel. The squirrels in my yard eat just about all of the bird food. They are all fat but your squirrel/s are fatter. :-)

Hey, you stole my squirrel! LOL Back when Mama Squirrel was still visiting, there was one that was fat like this. From behind he was shaped about like a Hershey's kiss. I only seen him off and on for about a year. I actually felt like something was wrong with him for him to be so fat.
