Bubba better not get too fearless, he may get his comeuppance!

eViL pOp TaRt said...

Bubba is pushing the limits here!

Carole M. said...

oooh, so tempting!

Mike said...

Even with Bubba's guidance, I don't think Whistling Willy is going to sample from the feeder.

Mariette VandenMunckhof-Vedder said...

Dearest Theresa,
Safely back on your side and still too dark for seeing what the tornado left in our subdivision.
That Whistler duck would love to take the squirrels spot!
Hugs,
Mariette

And who turned out the winner in that little scenario . . .

First, I can't believe Bubba fits in that feeder and it not tipping over. Second...AFLAC...(I know wrong duck...but, Bubba looks like an accident waiting to happen).

Bubba was hungry again, and it did look like there might be a rumble. Hope nobody got hurt. Love the look of the whistler in the tree like a squirrel. :-)

Playing chicken with a Whistler. :)

Pix Under the Oaks said...

Oh MY! It seems so odd to see a duck perching in a tree next to bird feeders. Not usually where I think of ducks to be. They sure have taken over the place!!!

Blackberry Lane said...

These are the cutest series of pics!

Marcoantonio Arellano said...

nice!!!can the beak fit in the feeder?

Miss Val's Creations said...

This would be an interesting fight. I'm not sure who would win. The whistler can fly and the squirrel can run up and a down a tree. Which skill will prevail is the question!

Optimistic Existentialist said...

Hilarious!! My money is on the whistler ;)

Karen @ away for the weekend said...

Hahaha - I'm wondering if the duck ever figured it out!

We own ducks, peacocks, chickens, guineas, turkeys and we never tire of watching them. Ducks are devious! Much smarter than any other fowl I know. Love them and your photos!

MarkD60 said...

Never saw a duck in a tree like that before!

Gail said...

Maybe the Whistler is watching the squirrel to learn how to obtain the treats.

Farm Girl said...

That's absolutely hilarious, the squirrel eats his feed on.

The whistler can only look on as the squirrel get the grain. What a futile effort. I wonder how long it took the duck to wise up and go to the ground.

Gillian Olson said...

Hilarious pictures, especially the first. I can see the concentration in that cute little face trying to figure the feeders out.

Alas, is it not no wonder that the whistlers are having so much trouble with the squirrels when they obviously do not know just how much they could squirt at the squirrels? Sad. So very sad.

These are true keepers!
