You have so many wonderful visitors at your pond...just how do you get any work done around the ranch? I'd be sitting all day at the water's edge, watching birds/ducks!!

for some reason, I can never remember the names of birds, flowers, trees. only the very common ones in all three... even though you tell us each time, if you did not i would not remember...so peaceful putting around in your pond.

Just saying the name of this duck sounds pretty !

Dicky Bird said...

No ugly duckling there...beautiful.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I am soooo jealous of your pond. I have to drive over to The Rez in search of ducks and the guys who work for the village, in their quest to meet and have coffee in the building there, invariably beat me there and scare them away.

Hey,

What a success your Good Fences meme!
As you know, it was my first time to link....but you have to have set some kind of record?!

One of my visitors had a profile that said she gave lectures on cruise ships about birds. Hey girl you could certainly do the same on ducks!I think I have just put you back to work!

We just saw a group of Blue-Winged Teals at our state park. They are usually among the first to go through during migration, but this year they are a little late. Very neat pictures with the reflection, Theresa ...

Ok, help a city slicker out here... Are they turtle heads in the first pic or sticks/rocks sticking up out of the water? It's been a long week:@)

Leslie aka the wayside wanderer said...

So beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen 'em in person. We had a little duck show up last week that had a mohawk and really dark big-looking eyes (might have been ringed). Haven't had time to look him up but really funny little thing.
