I really should find out more about birds - stuck on history! Love your photos though.
Brilliance of the duck.
Good morning! This pond looks so peaceful. Wishing I had one on our farm!
Morning Tex oh the Blue-Winged Teal is very pretty and so are the reflections. Hug B
Ha! Head like an oil slick!
Looks so graceful on the water :)
You have so many wonderful visitors at your pond...just how do you get any work done around the ranch? I'd be sitting all day at the water's edge, watching birds/ducks!!
I love the Teal. I just saw some on the River this week. Nice reflection.
What? Just one? It's never going to stand a chance against those Whistlers.
The blue-winged teal is lovely!
for some reason, I can never remember the names of birds, flowers, trees. only the very common ones in all three... even though you tell us each time, if you did not i would not remember...so peaceful putting around in your pond.
Just saying the name of this duck sounds pretty !
No ugly duckling there...beautiful.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...I am soooo jealous of your pond. I have to drive over to The Rez in search of ducks and the guys who work for the village, in their quest to meet and have coffee in the building there, invariably beat me there and scare them away.
A handsome bird.
It looks so peaceful and serene there. Can I come sit by your pond and watch the ducks? ;-)
He looks very contented. Have a fabulous Friday.Best wishes Molly
One of my biggest treats I today is getting back to say hello to my favorite friends . . . Good Morning Miss Tex . . .
Beautiful reflection shots. The teal seems pleased.

turtle heads poking up in that first picture?
Beautiful photos of the ducks.Greetings Irma
Is that a turtle swimming next to him?
Looks like a nice quiet scene.
Isn't that redundant? I mean, teal is blue, right? So it's a Blue Winged Blue???
Double-headed duck ! :o)
I love the soft green and blues of the water.
Moving gently, I see the little ripple of his paddling.
Wonderful photos, I love!
A good series on yet another variety of duck. This one has some interesting color in those feather on the sides. Nice one.

Beautiful bird in water.
Hey,What a success your Good Fences meme!As you know, it was my first time to link....but you have to have set some kind of record?!One of my visitors had a profile that said she gave lectures on cruise ships about birds. Hey girl you could certainly do the same on ducks!I think I have just put you back to work!
Tranquil scene with the duck lazily swimming and bobbing along!
T, nice ones! They are a pretty duck!

Handsome guy. Was he just passing through or does he live around there too?
Such a beautiful duck!
Always worth another look!
We just saw a group of Blue-Winged Teals at our state park. They are usually among the first to go through during migration, but this year they are a little late. Very neat pictures with the reflection, Theresa ...Andrea @ From The Sol
Looks rather tan and brown - would love to see the blue.
Such a handsome fellow.
The Teal is pretty duck! Lucky you!
What an extraordinary bird. I have never seen this !
Ok, help a city slicker out here... Are they turtle heads in the first pic or sticks/rocks sticking up out of the water? It's been a long week:@)
So beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen 'em in person. We had a little duck show up last week that had a mohawk and really dark big-looking eyes (might have been ringed). Haven't had time to look him up but really funny little thing.
Nice photos of this duck!
Another handsome bird!...:)JP
What a great looking bird!
that guy has a lot of color in his name.
I love the green leaves reflected in the water as well as the duck's reflection. He's a beauty!
Lovely as usual!
Nice teal! Wonder why they don't call him teal-winged teal!
I wouldn't mind spending my Friday just floating around.
It took me a while to notice the duck reflections because the beautiful green and blue reflections caught my eye. The duck reflections are icing on the cake.
No fair... You get all the nice birds at your pond. Ha ha!
What a beautiful bird. Your pond brings you such amazing visitors.
Perfect photos! I think there is such serenity in watching ducks swim, and its been too long since I've done that.
Dearest Theresa;Beautiful Blue-Winged Teal and I'm SO jealous with your wonderful green reflection(*^_^*) Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan to my American photographer friend, xoxo Miyako*
They are very striking - love the spotted wings and white bands. Looks like a couple of turtles swimming in the first shot with this guy, or maybe they are just old branches. xo Karen
Duck is enjoying it's ride in a peaceful pond!
Ta passion pour les oiseaux est un véritable bonheur de photographies, pour nous qui te suivons régulièrement avec grand bonheur.Amitiés.Roger
