April 2014 Giveaway!

The drawing I did for April's giveaway is a juvenile Ruby-Throated Hummingbird, drawn in colored pencil, matted and framed to an 8x10 size. He was inspired by a photograph taken and posted way back in August 2012 by my friend Gail Dixon of Louisiana Belle. Thank you, Gail, for letting me borrow your portrait of 'Junior' to test my drawing skills. :)
I gave myself a little challenge with this drawing. I have a few very old colored pencils that I've had since I was a pre-teen. I've kept them in an old tin case for thin cigars for more than 40 years. I challenged myself to draw Junior using only these pencils. I used all of them, except for a blue and a purple shade, I think. And I just about gave up in trying to use that tiny stub of a black pencil, but I stuck to it.
The games we will play... Anyway...

If you'd like to be entered in this drawing giveaway, you must:
1. Be a public follower of this blog (use the 'Follow this Site' button on the sidebar to join up if you haven't already done so)
AND
2. Leave a comment on this post to say you'd like to be entered, would like to win this drawing, etc. Make sure you say you want to be entered!

I'll pick the name of a winner near month end! Thanks, everyone!

This giveaway opportunity is now closed.
