The blue jay has great looking feathers. Those blues are so good! We have mountain jays, but they don't have the brilliance of a genuine blue jay.

Marcoantonio Arellano said...

we have an abundance of bluejays here up north. they are pretty but they're calls are hacking loud and they are agressive toward other birds. the robins, finches and wrens all scatter when the bluejays fly into the perches and feeders.

Such a pretty backside. A gang of Bluejays would visit our feeder in Michigan. They would bully the little birds, but I do miss seeing their pretty iridescent blue.

Sunday finery at its very best, those blue feathers are stunning. Cheers, Jean.

Beautiful Blue Jay! I tried several times yesterday to get a good picture of a Blue Jay hanging round the feeders but he was nervous around me and kept flying in and out too quickly!

Nice! I have been photographing them too, recently. We have a ridiculous number of them around here since autumn. The little blue bastids have been eating the paint off of our house. It's almost Hitchcockesque. No kidding there has to be at least three dozen of them around.

I love the Blue Jays in any season! ...I just wish they wouldn't gobble everything down at the feeder! :-)
