Can You Handle More Wood Ducks?

They've kind of been coming out of the wood(duck)work, lately. ;) These photos, however, are from February. I'm just going to load this post up with them.

The whistling ducks now look to be sporting flamingo legs when seen next to a wood duck. The wood duck has long been a favorite of mine. Beautiful photos !!

I like the side view, the rear view and all of the shots with the whistlers. i like the blurred whistlers putting the spotlight on the beauty of the colors of the wood ducks. great shots.

I believe in Evolution, and that all creatures different attributes are developed over time to serve a specific survival purpose, but sometimes I think God just wants to show off, so he created the Wood Duck!

And losd you did ... you couldn't pick a better duck to load with. They are so beautiful and their coloring looks so intentional ... Mother Nature the Artist. I think the sweet little face of the female is one of my favorites and I love their little calls when they fly. It always amazes me to see them land in my big tall oaks ... that just isn't right. A duck in a tree, oh my:) Love it Theresa ...

The answer to your question - no problem for such lovely ducks. I know they are rather common down your way but I would quite like to see some pictures of the Red-winged Blackbirds, one of my favourite North American birds.

I love Wood Ducks. They do have wonderful colors and that red eye is pretty striking too. Don't think I've ever noticed the female at our park, I'll have to look closely the next time I'm there but I loved the blue feathers she has and seeing your photos of them out with other birds.
