In MD. and I think Ma. they have a form of bowling called "Duck Pins." Now I know where they got that name.

The last shot is gorgeous.
So lovely to see them feeling so at home at your place. Beautiful.
Gorgeous creatures ! They also sometimes need a rest. They look beautiful on the green meadow.Have a nice Sunday :)

Wow! Great photos!! I love how they rest...do they turn their heads into their bodies?? Last shot is just like a painting...Beautiful!Blessings,Gert
That last shot is very nice with the blurred background. Maybe your F stop was set lower than usual.. I am assuming that at least some of these whislers were from that late batch last fall??? They seem to enjoy your company quite a bit, and are very tolerant of the camera.
Pretty pics. I don't recall you photographing them on the grass before.
these crazy ducks always make me laugh.
I would think whistlers have a big dose of curiosity . They always seem to be checking something out.
Just chillin in the sunshine.
Beautiful! But you better keep those bowling thoughts to yourself. Lol
There are so many of them.Such a lazy day.And this must be Sunday.

Hi Theresa, You should write a children's book featuring "Your" Whistlers! Use your prose and your photographs. A nice short and sweet little book would be fun. Just an idea. Have a pleasant coming week and enjoy your ranch and all the critters.

We saw three Whistlers at the tank again last week but they aren't tame like yours. Maybe because that is the only thing around there I don't feed.

That last one IS like a painting. Have you ever drawn whistlers? They look like they're having a drowsy Sunday afternoon--kind of like mine. :-)
They look so comfy in the green grass. And they look shiny feathered and well fed. ;)
