Backtalk!

Had a lot of "Talk to the Tail" action at the end of April.

The last of the American Goldfinches for the season before they headed north.

Thistle flinger!

An American Crow gave me the over-the-shoulder look, too.
Before adding a bit of side view.
And finally, the monster Fox Squirrel.
 Shut out!

I have a soft spot in my heart for Goldfinches. There one of my top three favorite birds (along with ruby-throated hummingbirds and downy woodpeckers)

So sad to see them head North but you have a such a large variety I suppose one lot goes and another lot move in for the Summer. Have a super Saturday.

I get more of the "talk to the tail" shots than anything. I saw a goldfinch last weekend. It was a first for this spring.

Oh dear... they seem to be more occupied in pressing matters.

Yes you did get the cold shoulder! We now have the goldfinch visiting us - we are always thrilled to see them.

Yes, you did a lot of tail talking there. Nice shots! I like seeing the backside of that squirrel any time. :-)

The Goldfinches are so pretty and the crow is blacker then black. A landlady of"ours in the past used to tell us 'every old crow thinks her's is the blackest".

I hope your little finches head our way. As for the crow and the raven brothers we have many of their extended family here already.

That squirrel is not getting any slimmer. I really like crows BUT, not when they eat all the figs off my tree, ripping off even the green ones.

As always, you got all my favorite birds and animals in this post as well.

I haven't seen any of my Finches lately. Wonder if the neighbors cats are scaring them away or they are busy taking care of the babies. One thing I noticed though is that the Finches were eating the Safflower seeds more than the Niger/Thistle. I wonder if has to do with the location of the Niger feeder, which on the deck, as opposed to the Safflower feeder, which is attached to a tree branch; and, away from the dogs…
Just wondering…

Have a Great Weekend!

Peace :)
