Poor staging directions there, I'm afraid. :)
I much prefer the beautiful birds!!
Pretty birds...they were just too busy eating or looking for food to be polite! There's that durn squirrel again!
Such a beautiful bird ! This monster Fox Squirrel is so sweet :)))Have a great weekend :)
Sweet....it's always a bit of a let down when the birds head farther north!Love the squirrel too.Have a great holiday weekend...Hootin' AnniandAnni @ I'd Rather B Birdin'
Tolerance, acceptance, laughter and love feed every community. Me thinks they will always come back. Thank you for the smile. Great last photo.
Great critter photos...that is a healthy looking squirrel.. and love the look you captured with the crow.
It's always a joy to see the golden finches. And the crow looks intelligent!
I have a soft spot in my heart for Goldfinches. There one of my top three favorite birds (along with ruby-throated hummingbirds and downy woodpeckers)
So sad to see them head North but you have a such a large variety I suppose one lot goes and another lot move in for the Summer. Have a super Saturday.Best wishes Molly
LOL, they're all giving you the cold shoulder. neat bird feeder, never seen one with little perches.
Funny! I don't know where our Goldfinches are this year. Haven't seen them or heard them. Good Morning Tex! Lots of Bluebirds and Brown Headed Cowbirds! Fox Squirrel at least gave you a nice side shot!
I get more of the "talk to the tail" shots than anything. I saw a goldfinch last weekend. It was a first for this spring.
Oh dear... they seem to be more occupied in pressing matters.
Yes you did get the cold shoulder! We now have the goldfinch visiting us - we are always thrilled to see them.
I think that tail is about maxed out trying to hide the tree rat! :-) I'd like to get some good photos of crows.
Yes, you did a lot of tail talking there. Nice shots! I like seeing the backside of that squirrel any time. :-)
The Goldfinches are in Wisconsin now. Just had one at my bird feeder.
I LOVED to see the beautiful Goldfinches♡♡♡ However, nice after dinner smile from the over-the-shoulder look from the crow and the ending (^_^)彡☆Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan to my American photographer friend Theresa, xoxo Miyako*
Great shots of the goldfinch ! I am always telling you I wish we had some of the gorgeous birds you get there ~ well guess what ...WE DO have those beautiful goldfinch :)))
Yup, Crow stink -eye you got, love the pictures as always, Francine.

Send those NJ state birds back home!
The finches must be taking their time, they have not arrived yet, maybe i better tweet them (sorry, I could not resist)
Maybe they were giving you their best side!
Love seeing your birds. Our summer cabin, where we will be soon, is at too high an altitude to attract many birds.
The Goldfinch, Crow and Squirrel makes loads of precious pics.
Hi Tex I think it is great to see different angles form birds and critters so well done. Have a great weekend.
Seems they didn't want to "pose" but shots are fun anyway!
Lots of great critter shots ~ love them all ~ goldfinch I think is a favorite, though ~ Enjoy the weekend ~ xoxoartmusedog and carol (A Creative Harbor)
A wonderful series of photos today! I love the goldfinch! When they leave Texas they visit us here in Illinois!
You always have lovely visitors! Lucky you.
oh the American Goldfinch and squirrels we have. Yet the Goldfinches have not arrived till about June to us. They are pretty.Great takes .
Today I am working on relocating my fifth tree rat since coming home. Never had so many in one season. Plague proportions.
Oh yes indeed, just like cats! Hehehe! Great captures of the first talk to the tail, such a soft background, very pleasant, and the birdie really stands out!
The crow is one of the most intelligent birds. :)
Your birds and squirrels are always such a great way to begin my day and today is no exception!! I do love old bushy tail!!
Beautiful pictures of American Goldfinches and the Crow. The squirrel is totally awesome.Very well photographed.I wish you a very nice weekend.Greetings Irma
Nice pictures , full of beauty , wonderful Backtalk !
I think the back view of the finch is just as pretty as the front! Umm, too bad I can't say that about the squirrel ;)
I didn't realise your Goldfinches were just migrants to Texas. Shame to lose such lovely birds for a while but something to look forward to in the autumn.
I get back-talked to all of the time. Sigh.
Goldfinches at the feeder lighten up my day considerably.
The Goldfinches are so pretty and the crow is blacker then black. A landlady of"ours in the past used to tell us 'every old crow thinks her's is the blackest".
I hope your little finches head our way. As for the crow and the raven brothers we have many of their extended family here already. Lindahttp://email@example.com
They were all concentrating on that delicious buffet you set out
Just wonderful! I have missed you and all your ranch beauties! I'm still unpacking! lolhugs,Marie
Ptaki są cudowne, a wiewiórka urocza, nie rozbójnik. :)))Birds are wonderful and adorable squirrel, not a highwayman. :)))

I love your crow and that "shut-out" tail and I like to think some of your beautiful American Goldfinches have traveled this way. We'll send them back to you soon :)
All of these pictured critters seem to be turning their backs on you. I'm sure it's nothing personal. Ha!
Das Vögelchen ist so hübsch, allein schon die schönen Farben.Liebe GrüßeWaldameise
Wonderful shots. Very lovely little yellow bird.
I'm glad you got this series of the American Gold Finch before they left. Great looking "evil eye" from the crow. Well, maybe no "evil eye." :-)

Maybe they were feeling shy? They're beautiful though all of them. Your monster is cute too. :)
Crows and squirrels we've got plenty, but I never saw any of the beautiful gold finches.
Oh sure, backtalk the hand that feeds you. what is the world coming to?!
Fun post, Tex!
Wow, I like the Goldfinch !
Don't you love that animals and birds have personalities. I know there are those that don't believe it, but open your eyes folks ... they do:) Great post Theresa.Andrea @ From The Sol
They are photogenic from any angle, aren't they?
The monster fox squirrel, love that.Lovely shots.
hehe, talk to the tail!! With all the food we feed them, you would think they would at least pose for pictures!!The goldfinches have arrived here and those boys are looking mighty fine!!
Your backsides are beautiful.

I had lots of Goldfinches at my feeders today but I can't say wether they were Canadian or American. They didn't had passport. lol...Hugs,JB
I believe that bird did give you the finger! Lots of critter attitude on both our blogs I see:@)
Such wonderful critters. I love the pattern on the Goldfinch's wings.
My finch are finally back. Makes me happy!xo Catherine
We are up to our um.. feathers in Goldfinches right now. They will be here all Summer. That crow gave you the funny eye I think. Be afraid very afraid LOLMB
Some days you lose! Nice photos though!
Oh, I love your photo's they are full of personality. All beautiful and adorable. Blessings, Catherine
Love the finches! :) nice shots!
That squirrel is not getting any slimmer. I really like crows BUT, not when they eat all the figs off my tree, ripping off even the green ones.
Looks like you have a Grand Central Station for birds and other wildlife happening there at the Run*A*Round Ranch!
You have so many critter that give you photo op's. I always enjoy seeing them. :)
It's rare to see a squirrel up that close. Nice shots!
You caught them!ALOHA from HonoluluComfortSpiral =^..^=
As always, you got all my favorite birds and animals in this post as well. I haven't seen any of my Finches lately. Wonder if the neighbors cats are scaring them away or they are busy taking care of the babies. One thing I noticed though is that the Finches were eating the Safflower seeds more than the Niger/Thistle. I wonder if has to do with the location of the Niger feeder, which on the deck, as opposed to the Safflower feeder, which is attached to a tree branch; and, away from the dogs…Just wondering…Have a Great Weekend!Peace :)
Cute shots - even from behind!!
The little yellow bird-- So gorgeous.
LOL! Talk to the tail! :) :)
These birds travel more than we do.
What a cute little yellow bird.Greetings,Filip
these are wonderful, back photos as well, that little Whistler looks like he is wearing pink leotards!
Very nice captures. I love finches.
Hi Tex, love the sweet Goldies. And the Crow shots. The squirrels should be very happy with all the bird seed they get to eat.. Great series, thanks for linking up this week. Happy Sunday!
Nice squirrel and beautiful yellow bird.. Regards..
They are all so sweet! Really like the look of the crow ;D
Hey, when there's food and a trip coming up, there is not time for socializing!!!,...:)JP
Lots of great critters. Maybe the Gold Finch are headed my way now. They are WA state's State Bird.Got plenty of crows here, they love the peanuts I leave out for the squirrels. I like you squirrel, he's cute.
What a bunch of stinkers! Don't they know they're supposed to work for those peanuts and thistle?
Some great pictures there
Wonderful varieties. Cute critters. Thanks for stopping by :)1sthappyfamily.com
Frustrating as they are, they do make for a fun collection. I'm thinking about a series called "where they were a split second before I hit the shutter" or some such thing. ;)
Interesting how those goldfinches have gray feathering on their back and head; ours didn't have that. They are one of my favorite little migrants.
Like them all especially the squirrel.
All very cute. The first shot of the crow - great capture of his eye. Looks expressive.~Lindy
I'm so glad those goldfinches have come back north. I love your squirrels. They are so chubby and cute.
Maybe they're the same ones I'm seeing here in Oregon!
Truly a stunning and beautifully colored bird with its bright yellow coloring :-) the American side crow is boring contrast with its black feathers lol ... and cool weather that squirrel :-)
I do really like the American Goldfinch. I look forward to you being able to share them again when they make their way back. Super Crow shots too.
