A Whistling Duck maximizes his pink-eraser-like features (feetures?) by reflecting them in the birdbath.

For some reason I can only think 'ballerina' when looking at this Whistler.

Those feet are ridiculously huge, I guess they ALWAYS have one toe covering another

Not quite awake yet my random thought for the morning is "do they really whistle?????"

William Kendall said...

Big feet or not he looks quite distinguished.

DJan said...

Ha! He does have big feet, and reflected in the water makes them seem even bigger. :-)

Does this fountain make my feet look big? I so need some plastic surgery to slim them down.

Somebody thought of a ballerina. I thought of a tap dancer, but with flappy webs instead of tappy toes. Flap-dancer. That's it :)

I think it is amazing that those feet can hold up that size bird, they look fragile.

Karen S. said...

They are just the cutest, from their webbed feet to the top of their shiny heads! What a treat for us to share them too!

A fine series focused on this single duck. It gives us a first hand view of the duck's interesting colors as well as his personality (in a limited way). Very successful group of pictures.
