Cute toad. LOL!
A fat one.If it is a prince, he must be very out of shape.
Superb great pictures! Nice weekend Crissi
He's a chunky chap, warts and all.
Attitude is everything.
yep he is pretty cute
Hi TWG - what an amazing knobbly toad .. lovely photos .. cheers Hilary
Do toads as well as frogs turn into Princes?
He's a pretty cute guy :)
Mr. Toad is mighty handsome!
i love him/her.. so cute and i know everything is bigger in Texas, that includes this toad... love it
He's a real cutie!
He's cute all right, but why so sad? :-)
Did you kiss it or pass by your chance at having a prince around? Cute.
he's a fat Texan toad.
I love toads. When I was a girl I used to stay up late in the summer to watch Star Trek reruns on Sunday (?) night. I would turn the back porch light on to attract bugs for my toad friend who was almost as large as a saucer. After watching Captain Kirk whoop 'em up, I'd go out and hand junebugs to the toad. One night my dad asked why the light was on...he was a bit miffed, electric bill...and I showed him how the toad would snatch the bugs off my palm. He was amazed and had to make my mom come watch me feed the toad...those were the days!
I love your toads. We're looking for happy, animal photos in Canada, today. I like Daffycat's story, too!
He's quite impressive!
Superb capture!! Wonderful detail on the toad
In the eye of the beholder...maybe. (LOL?)
Quite a big fellow!
Chubby little critter!
I think your toad has been eating too many bugs! He sure looks chubby!
This little guy looks like he eats well!
Is it just me or does it kinda look like he's giving you the finger in that last pic:@) Cheeky little guy!
Beautiful toads with many details.Have a good weekend.
He sure is! The last photo I think he's saying, "Got bugs?" Me hungry!
I wonder what the toad hopes to find there!! :)
So ugly; so beautiful.
I always squeal and run when I see one. :)
How lovely! I like toads and frogs very much :)
You do such a fine job of close ups. You can be any critter look great! ;-)

I wish you a nice weekend
What a chunky one! Quite a handsome specimen.
Beautiful toads, have a nice weekend.
He looks like a big one!! Cute, I'd kiss him ;)
Love seeing these guys around the house because they help with insect control. Do you have any toads houses around the ranch?
Eun lovely toad!
We had three out on our porch one morning recently. Our 2 year old grandson calls them "hop-toads". Are you sick and tired of the summer temperatures? I am-it's going to be in the 90's today! Hurry up fall weather!
Cute! I like them.I'd say he/she/it/toad has puffed up as a defensive precaution.~
He's beautiful! At least to me -- i love frogs and toads. And snakes (if they aren't poisonous) and spiders. Yes, i'm weird.
LOLHe looks like he's fixin' to jump. Great photo's, T!
This is just the cutest toad ever! Love the amazing stuff that you find on your deck.
In 1970 my town in NJ had a plague of these little guys. All about 2 inches big. You could not drive down the street without taking out a dozen. No one was yelling "Let my people go." So I guess it was some kind of natural phenomenon. Lasted about 10 days.
Look at those little "hands." No kissing!
he is cute and VERY chubby too. You must feed your toads well....grin.
He doesn't look so little! And he seems a bit wary of you photographing him. ;-)
Cute, spotted little bugger, isn't he!! He does look well fed!! Fun ones for the day!!
Such a beauty :)))) Have a nice weekend :)
He is so adorable! I love toads. I grew up in Texas and got to see them often but there are none where I live, just little tree frogs, which are not as fun to hold.
Charming Prince! :)
Handsome fellow beautifully caught with your lens.
It does look well fed! Good shots!
Wow!!What a big frogy Tex!!He's so cute!!Great captures!Have a lovely weekend!Dimi...
Cute little thing...with attitude!

Fat little toad! I don't mind saying I don't care for that sour look on his face. :-)
He is too cute!
Dearest Theresa,Love toads and frogs and I've rescued lots of them in all sizes over the years... My biologist brother did his thesis about them.Hugs,Mariette
LOL.. he looks so grumpy! Perhaps his car broke down and he's waiting to have it toad. ;)
Toads always look grumpy to me, but there is something so cute about them. We used to find them in our garage from time to time....lots of bugs in there to eat. Sweet!
He is a cutie and gave you a great photo op!Hugs
LOL! He and his little Buddha-belly are sure cute!! And, those October skies... wow! Have a great weekend. blessings ~ tanna

Great shots of the toad.
Devourer of countless insects. Friend to all humans.
No "just" in that photo. Your toad is adorable! LOVE the details and colours.
I won't be kissing it, but it's interesting to look at.
You always have incredible photo topics. There is not one animal on your page that I don't love. Today a Texas Toad! Makes me want to get in car and drive on over. Thanks for the entertainment. I commend you on dedication to your mighty fine blog!
So cute! Did you try to kiss him?
Kissing a frog causes the frog to turn into a prince. Kissing a toad causes the person to turn into a toad. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. If in doubt, give it a try.:-}
Are they the ones that spit? Or is it the spit that is not good on your skin? Love #3, he is a cool dude for sure. Jean.
He is cute .. A little grumpy about the world in general. (So am I today, so I might be seeing his world through my own grumpiness ;),)
he looks so fat! Have a great weekend.
Most of us would never see a toad that close. They usually take off when you get that close!
He looks very fat. I wonder if this is my feeling or if it is really like that.Greetings,Filip
I have always loved toads! He's a real cutie, Tex! ;-)
He's so ugly, he's pretty. I guess it's a he, a girl wouldn't be out hopping around, would she?
T, you're right! What a cutie!
If I kissed her it will be a princess?
Oh my, that is a big Toad if I ever saw one!!! Blessings Francine.
Oh oh oh!! I love him!!!!I have a little toad statue on my deck that looks a bit like this guy. He makes me smile a lot.
Tex, I love your cute toad! Awesome closeups.. Thank you for linking up, have a happy weekend!
He is VERY cute!
Wow, he looks huge !
He sure is cute too. I remember when I was a little kid a few times I was really mad at my mom and I'd go outside collect the toads and bring them into the kitchen ad let them go ~ my mom was scared to pieces of them ! My mom still tells this story .lol
Very cute greeting from Belgiumhttp://louisette.eklablog.com/-p842116
Cute little guy. I hope a hawk doesn't spot him.
Mr. Toad setting a spell on your porchALOHA from HonoluluComfortSpiral =^..^= . <3 . >< } } (°>
Fat and sassy! I think it's the year of the frog/toad. We had a tree frog climb up the bricks of our house and onto one of the window screens in the kitchen. Creeped me out, it did. lol
Well, he sure hasd a good look at us!
He is adorable. I loved the last photo the best - he looks so regal.
Nice close up shots.
These are great images! I like the different viewpoints too.
Jeepers peepers! Where'd he get those eyes?
He's a perfect critter! Barely able to come by. Computer problems and I had a great fence post. Hopefully I'll be able to post for next week. Using the old computer with a bad cord it doesn't charge! Have a great Sunday. Hope you had a great party!
he's w-i-d-e-r than i would have thought . . and way attractive. My grandfather had some good Toad Stories . . You've brought back some good memories this evening . . thanks!
He looks grumpy, I love him!
A face only a mother could love! We only have little wood frogs here, so fun to see one of these big guys.
ribbit, ribbit... that's what I heard as I looked at the Texas toad.
Could be a Prince... But I doubt it!
What a cutie pie! :)
Cute may not be the word that springs to mind - but its an interesting looking beast!Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
It's so fat and cute! :o)))
I've seen some little frogs but this toad looks much bigger than the little frogs I see.
He is a handsome dude! I love how it looks like he sitting on curled hands. Thanks for your sweet message. It meant a lot to me.
Wow - he's cool! I was trying to figure out what "Saturday Critters" is... I might participate sometime. I'll do some more searching around.
wow, he is huge! I love seeing the large toads, then I think about all the bad insects they eat! :)
Sophie would love chasing him around!
Ready for the winter, I see! It's the cutest toad I have ever seen.
Everything is big in Texas!Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com/?s=The+Adventures+of+Fuzzy+and+Boomer&submit=Search http://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com
That really is a cute toad, looks like he blends right in.
They certainly are round down your way! Ours are much leaner...:)JP
Did you kiss him? He might have been your prince Charming!
I would have been scared, but then I guess it is safe to shoot from a distance.
I didn't know toad and cute could be used in the same sentence. LOL
You are right! Definitely a cutie!
Amazing !!!!!! Picture 2 and 3 are really very beautiful! My compliments.
Even toads are bigger in Texas! What a cute find and close-up view.
Good pictures ... But I do not like toads ;))
Love toads with their grumpy little faces. Cute! Love the last shot. I had three emerald green, teeny tiny frogs jump in and on my kayak yesterday. Too close to photograph, but I had fun "helping" them back where they belonged.
Oh wow! Good Texas living is sure keeping him plump!
Fun little toad - makes me smile!
Anyone who shares toad photos has found one of the great keys to my heart. :) Ha! I love toads.
I adore toads, I used to like to play with ones like this when I lived in Texas. Where I live now I never see any, it is sad. And they are such good bug eaters. Great shots!
