Nice that he had a moment to pose for you instead of just running off.

Great photos...cute little skinny bird...
Hi Theresa, Outstanding photographs. I kind of like it when seeing larger birds on decks or up close to a home (some may disagree). It is just so unusual to see and unexpected. Have a wonderful day today!
Beep! Beep! I can hear him now....Hey, as a matter of just looking at me, I'm not so skinny! I'm pretty darn cool! Hehehe! Beep, Beep!
Nice photos of the Karate Chicken! What I wouldn't give for that level of flexibility :)Have a Beautiful Day!Peace :)
Great photo. I used to see road runners a lot when I lived in California, but never got that close.
this is your resident roadrunner? seems awfully at home there on your deck.
he's flexible all right!! A very good series of this strange bird (strange to me) :-)
I guess he's very fussy about his appearance!
I love it when he turned and looked at you. :) Great Photos!
Oh yes, I do love your Roadies. Excellent!
I like your Skinny Chicken! :D'Something' has changed when commenting on Blogspot posts - I have run into this on a couple of different blogs now - I am having to prove I am not a robot. :( You have your button in the sidebar that you are word verification free, but now a picture with a number shows up in a box below the comment box.Lindy
He really does seem to enjoy your deck! LOL
He loves your place, clearly! :-) Great photos of him!
He looks a little chagrined at being watched while he tidies up his feathers!! Fun, great shots as always!!
I still have my comment settings set to NO WORD VERIFICATION but seems like Blogger is messing around, again! SORRY IF IT SHOWS UP!
Thanks for your message. I figured the other blogs I had commented on had reactivated their security settings but when it popped up on yours, then I figured something strange was happening. I've been having issues with my gmail account, too.Lindy
The Colonel would turn down that chicken.
Skinny Chicken is tired of being on the run and has landed at your sanctuary looking for a handout. Now his cover has been blown since he's on blogger, poor little guy. Have a fun day.Hugs,JB
Oh, you do him proud.
I think you're being observed, Tex.

Any traveler needs a little private grooming time after some hard time on the road!

Super views of the 'ruffled runner'.
He's awesome! Kind of goofy, kind of handsome.
Great photos and a cool bird.
I am just amazed you see the Roadrunner on your deck.. That is cool. Awesome photos..
Scrawny, yet handsome!
Back to the basics. I know they can run from Wiley Coyote, but can they actually fly?
Always on the look-out !
He's a looker and he knows it!

Such funky birds!`
My goodness, he is awfully cute!
LOL! He looks a bit annoyed! Love the raised nail!
I love these birds! I guess our coyote population keeps our nests robbed. We see few and far between.
Fantastic shots again! I never get tired of looking at your roadrunner pictures.
I love the colors. He almost looks polka-dotted!
You get the best Road Runner portraits. These show so much personality.
Not an easy thing to do when you have a tail that long.
I love roadrunners. I remember the first time I saw one and what a thrill it was. Growing up in the 50's and watching Wile E Coyote chase roadrunner and now I was seeing the real deal! They are so much fun to watch -they remind me of a busy salesman running from meeting to meeting....all they need is a little suit, tie and briefcase.
They have ugly feet! It must be interesting ti photograph these characters as they strike so many poses.
I love this series of pictures… I don't suppose he says "beep, beep".. or does he?
Dearest Theresa,Yeah and with a look like saying: This is MY place!Hugs,Mariette
What a cool looking dude! I love his hair-do!
wonderful images. He must have pretty good hearing.
I love roadrunners. So funny
Your birds have the longest tails! The Scissortails and the Roadrunners look kinda alike. Maybe they are related?
Neat to see how he cleans his feathers! Reminds me of our chickens!

Very unusual shots eh?
Fantastic close ups of the skinny chicken, Theresa!
I've never seen one preening before. They're usually running 25 miles per hour...
These birds fascinate me - I don't know if it has to do anything with Saturday morning cartoons in my youth or not :)
Those feathers were quite rearranged when it got done with them! Love these!
Love the skinny chicken!
When O When will he realize that beauty is more than feather deep? Cool shots!
