What day is it today?... Oh yea, Whistlers on Wenesday
Now let see... Oh, I got it. I'll try this pose... nah, that looks too dorky, I need to do a duckey pose.
I'll try the stand on one leg pose, nah, too easy. I'll do the stand on one leg and tuck my head in, that ought to do it.
That was a real god duckey pose for a Wenesday.
Have fun with all your creatures.
Hugs,
JB

I just wonder what that whistler is thinking. Maybe, what's that miniature me doing in this birdbath.

Randy said...

I like the "Showing off" shot.

MarkD60 said...

I like the first "asleep" Picture with the eyes closed best.
I remember a childs book I read. The cook made a duck for the king, it looked so good he had to taste it, so he had a drumstick. Then when the king wondered where the other leg was, the cook took the king at night to see the one legged ducks, since they sleep on one leg, the king thought the ducks really had only one leg.

I'm not implying we should eat your whistlers, they're more like pets and mid week beacons of hope for the weekend!

Linda Kay said...

I didn't know these ducks were "one-leggers", standing on one with one leg up under them....and sleeping too yet!

Hi Theresa,
I notice the little bird has lot less flexibility, compared to the whistler, in spite of its young age :)

Nice presentation of the stationary and the mobile!

Have a Beautiful Day!

Those photos are so cute! I think he's first thinking, 'You call that a bird??!' and then decides that he can stand on one leg too, just like the other bird affixed to the bird bath. 'Take THAT!'

I think about the little bronze friend he has on the side of the bath. Our bird used to have a plastic wife until a new law stipulated that caged animals had to be in sets of two. We bought a real wife for him, but he never loved her and always missed the plastic one. Friends come in all shapes and sizes, I suppose. :)
