I imagine those sparrows talking to the painted bunting:"Turn it down, mate!"
yeah, #2 comment it looks like. prize winner. happy sunday. ( :
Top to see the bird with the bright color next to the other ones.Greetings,Filip
Your bird bath and feeders look like they are the place to be, always something going on!
Happy Sunday Darling....love Ria...x!
It's nice to see those pretty birds this morning! We had waxwings here yesterday eating the berries of the scrub cedars and different robins than we are used to. They hit and run!
Such happy birds! Are they still around your place during the winter months? We have house sparrows year round, along with chickadees and crows. Most of the others head south. Maybe to the Ranch! :-)
Nice variety! The crow is my favorite, although I like bluebirds. I just wish I saw them more often.
Good Morning Tex, Love the Painted Buntings! Thank you for suggestion re Rubbish Tuesday. I did check it out ... there might be a niche for antique paper as I did not see any on last Tuesday's round-up. I will have to see if I can adapt to calling this stuff rubbish. Ha ha. John
I took my new camera with me this morning to Walmart. every time i go, their are hundreds of big lack crows and gulls... i wanted to try the zoom, not a bird in sight and no sunrise either...
Lovely series! Admire more the photos where the three sharing on feeder
busy place, beautiful birds!! the painteds are my favorite but they are so easy to love!!!I don't think you were updated in my reading feed today?!
your house is located very close to nature and fresh air..lovely location
His coloring sure makes him one of a kind in this bunch.
Sitting out there watching the birds has to be even better than anything on TV! Lovely pics.
So lovely shots!Hugs Crissi
Those painted buntings are amazing! I would love to see one in person!
Your painted bunting is beautiful as are all the other birds in this post. Thanks for linking me to your meme on Thursday: I've been AWOL for much of the time. Hope to be back on Blogger again soon. Jo
Aw, I love the little spots of blue:@)
There is no way you can miss a Painted Bunting.
Just so pretty- a flash of color that just begs to be captured.
Happy and cute photos today - makes me smile!
The painted bunting is really something to behold. Pretty birds!
I'd sure enjoy a dose of those days here right now! Brr! It seems all across the United States it's coooooooold outside! Stay warm!
Nice, nice. The young birds look great.
You are so good at identifying the juveniles from the adults. It would be hard for me when the colors have not developed.
I wish those painted buntings came up north. OTOH the West Virginia birdies were very glad to see that I made the trip out from Ohio this weekend. Took them a day, but the nuthatches, chickadees, and downy woodpeckers have rediscovered the suet feeder.~
I heard a woodpecker this morning drinking coffee on the back porch and we have our share of crows--caw, caw, caw. I would be over the moon excited to spot a painted bunting.
I love the Painted Bunting, great photos.
I love this colorful bird!I like the trio of birds on guard. Never know when an enemy might striked.Great photos.
Pretty bird fly to my house for a week. Oh a wow!My neighbor yelled over to us this morning. My red cardinal flew over to your yard.We have the big pine tree yes they love it.Only I see it fly in and out.It goes to fast for a pic.Like your pictures very much as always.
Plenty of those little house sparrows here. They can empty a feeder real fast. Little stinkers!
Another set of lovely twitters. Bird watching is quite an inviting pastime. Happy Sunday to you :)By the way thanks for directing me to "Inspired Sunday". I'm now a regular contributor there.
Happy birds and I do love the painted bunting!! Sol colorful! I would love to see one, up close and personal! Your pic is the next best thing!!
Morning, always enjoy the variety of birds you have around your feeders. Thanks for sharing, love the pictures. Blessings Francine.
I agree with Sylvia...Would love to see a Bunting....and have my camera near!
I wonder what the birds are all talking about. It must be the quality of service at your feeder restaurant.Such cute little beauties.Hugs,JB
Ha! You're photos suddenly reminded me of the song. Remember it?All god's creatures got a place in the choir Some sing low and some sing higher Some sing out loud on the telephone wire Some just clap their hands or paws or anything they've got now :-)
I like the little blue bird, he is so cute!
Always love the many birds you get to take pictures of.
Great pictures and happy birds in your yard Tex!Love the Painted Bunting!!Dimi...
Nice pictures! These birds are very beautiful !!
I always imagined a blue bird to have more colour, perhaps it is because as you say young. Lovely shots of birds, and I like the black bird, has character, beautiful
You have a wonderful love of nature, and I'm glad you share with us. :)
Lovely birds all of them. The colours on the painted bunting are amazing.
Cute birds! I never get bored watching them. There are fewer birds here now maybe because it's getting so cold.
I love the blue feathers! You always take great bird photos!
What I would give to see a bluebird and a bunting. I know there are bluebirds around here, not sure of buntings. But I never see them.
"I thought I ordered a coke" said the juvenile bluebird as he looked at his water.
What a great mix of birds that you get, Tex!
Beautiful - when it gets cold and snowy up here; which it already has - my friend calls our winter birds our feathered blossoms. 'love & hugs from afar'
A bird spa at your house!
Wow...such a fabulous collection of different birds. I've never seen a crow in my neck of the woods. Lucky you. Thanks for sharing your link today at I'd Rather B Birdin'!
Lovely birds, amd esp. The Painted Bunting!
The sparrow looking at the painted bunting in the third picture may be envious, or thinking, "How gaudy!"
They are all so beautiful!! :D
Dearest Theresa,Love the facial expressions of the juvenile painted buntings! The photo where the male painted bunting has his head inside the feeder is also special.Enjoy your Sunday.Hugs,Mariette
I wonder if the Sparrow wonders how the Painted Bunting got so pretty.
The painted bunting is certainly a beauty!
I LOVE those male painted buntings! Can't get enough of them! Wish I could witness them for myself, much less capture a shot.
I love that promise of colour on the juveniles.
"Roundup the usual suspects!"ALOHA from HonoluluComfortSpiral =^..^= . <3 . >< } } (°>
I'm ready for warmer weather already. The Painted Bunting bunting is a beauty.
Aside from color, the birds in the first few photos like rather similar. I wonder how different they seem to other birds.
Love seeing the summer bird photos. :)
Lovely colored birds. Very nice !
I could use a little August weather to go with these photos! ;) Oh, I'm still stalking my first bunting in real-time. blessings and hugs ~ tanna
I always enjoy seeing birds at the bath :)
Surely that bird with the sparrows is a painted fake plastic model......:)
I actually think Sparrows are pretty. They are also annoying...but, oh well!Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com/?s=The+Adventures+of+Fuzzy+and+Boomer&submit=Search http://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com
I'm not too friendly with house sparrows. They eat a lot of bby birds here.
Nice to see them together. I got a better idea of the bunting's size. And talk about size, it was interesting to see crows again (in L.A. and Pasadena) and realize how much smaller they are than our ravens here. We have no crows here at all, perhaps one crow species is enough.
Your juvenile bluebirds are so timid and fragile looking, so sweet. Love those color-loaded buntings. Have a great evening!
On a gray dreary day here in Virginia, this series of photos has provided a much needed spot of color! :-)
One can fall in love with nature( if they are not already) when they look at hose strokes. Thank you so much for taking the pics and then sharing with all of us.
Where did summer go? We're expecting quite a snowfall tonight and tomorrow. Love seeing your juvenile bluebirds and buntings. They look so sweet.
I sure do love those painted buntings!
T, nice shots! The Bunting and the Bluebird are both high on my List: "Wanna See!"
Nice pictures. Love the colors.
I wonder what less colorful of the birds think when a Painted Bunting appears . . . I wonder if they see color . . .
The coloring on the crow makes it look almost iridescent. Great pictures!
Hi Theresa, Beautiful Painted Buntings! I sure want to see some in real life. Have a pleasant coming week and stay warm!
Love the little blue one.
Beautifully colored little fella and how adorable as well; just love little birds they're so cute.Excellent captures my friend! My Phlog
Nice bird shots! :-))
Love the different birds that show up at your place. The brown of the sparrows contrasts so nicely with the bright colors of the buntings. They're all beautiful! Are you experiencing the cold that I see Texas is getting?
I'll never stop being in awe of those painted buntings! So beautiful. And, I'm surprised you have eastern bluebirds so far west!
Nice variety of feathered visitors!
What a bright bird compared to the sweet Sparrows. MB
Surely you have enough Painted Buntings to share!
Nice to see some birds - ours are hiding, trying to stay out of the cold and rain.
That colourful bird is so pretty.
The sparrow is pissed he didn't get the notice that formal attire was expected for dinner.
Prawie identyczne jak nasze wróble:)
Sure do like the Painted Bunting but I also think the juvenile Eastern Bluebird is quite sweet. :)Lindy
so nice to see them. :)
Sparrows and a beautiful Painted Bunting at your feeder silo. The young Painted Bunting I find beautiful to see. Your birds are so much nicer than ours.
Beautiful August photos! So nice to see now that we are so cold.
Such a variety! Lucky ducky you are T!
Fun looking at this post at the same time as your beautiful horses in the one below.... really points up the magic of your ranch! What a bit of paradise you have there.
So many pretty birds! :)
You've got such a great place for all these special birds and critters. What joy it must bring you. I know it would me.
Ahhhh... so cute!
Great photos! At least the first group knows how to share...
You wonder if the house sparrows are jealous of the painted bunting, like Joseph's brothers, because of his "coat of many colors." :-) Love the sweet female bluebird too.
i'm always impressed you know the names of all the birds.
