We have a few blue herons who visit the pond regularly. The white egret is a once or twice a year visitor.
My absolute favorite bird :)
I love egrets, but in this photo it's the light you captured which leaves me breathless.
They are so white and elegant.
The egret plus its reflection make a nice shape.
Gorgeous light in this scene. A beautiful photo.MersadMersad Donko Photography

It's a marvel to me how the egret stands so still, and the fish swim by so unwary. o.O Have a wonderful weekend!
What a pretty bird!
Very well taken with the reflection in frame.
That is a perfect shot with all the wood, the bird and the reflection.
The harvest must be not good for all the time. That's why it has a long neck.A long neck to keep searching.

Hope the fishing trip was successful for such a lovely bird.
A fine great Egret shot. I especially like the darker pile of limbs which make the Egret stand out so well.
That really sticks out! So clean looking against the background.
A peaceful picture for this time of year Tex!
Oh that's a nice shot, TexALOHA from HonoluluComfortSpiral <3
No noisy ducks to scare away the fish?~
They visit the pond out my window and are so graceful in flight either in landing or taking off. Always a pleasure to watch.

Great photo, love, pure delicacy! A beautiful heron!
Do you stack this pond once a week? These guys eat a lot.
It is such an eyecatching bird!
I often wonder why birds became pure white when it must increase the likelihood they might be predated? I need to Google.
Fishing alone, great.
This is a beautiful image, soothing and peaceful, wonderful reflection.
Do you have lots of fish in the pond? Frogs and other yummy things?Lindahttp://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com/?s=The+Adventures+of+Fuzzy+and+Boomer&submit=Search http://coloradofarmlife.wordpress.com

Great shadow shot, T. :)xoxo
Love the reflections, nice picture indeed.
It's a wonder an Egret can stay bright white at all, standing in knee deep water on the side of a muddy pond all day... If it was me I'd be a mucky mess!
Nice shot . . . VERY . . .
So elegant. I always wonder how they stay so clean. :)
What a beauty. MB
The composition is really stunning, with the head of the bird fading in the reflection.
What a capture! he looks hungry
You captured a beauty of a shot. Have a nice weekend.
I love Egrets... such graceful birds!
So beautiful. I love these graceful looking birds and that's a great reflection shot.
The great egret is as a very nice hideaway to catch fish:-)
That's a neat looking bird and a neat reflection too!
Wonderful! I saw an egret today as I was driving. I managed to pull alongside it without spooking it, but I took too long to get my camera out.
Here is a weird thing. Today on a walk I saw 8 of these all together at a pond (a bigger one than the one near my home). Struck me as odd behavior. Very cool sight though as there were also about a dozen cormorants, ducks and a heron. Crazy....but you know how I loved it.
Love the Egrets, great shot! You have amazing wildlife all around you!Merry Christmas to you Tex and your family!Michaelhttp://instagram.com/michaelswoodcraft
Good reflection ;))
