How i love watching a horse taking a roll in dust or a bear scratching its back on a tree -- both look so happy and relieved to be doing it!

Such cute photos! My cats do the same thing but it is fun to see such a large animal do the same!

Hi Tex, Zim is a good-looking horse. I wonder how old he is? I'm pretty sure I know how he feels in that 3rd photo! :-) Have a fine Saturday down there in the Lone Star State. John

get Zim one of those long handle claws. they put them in their mouth and turn their necks to scratch. otherwise teach 'whitey'(this is because i couldn't remember your other horses name) to scratch his back.

nice pics though

Ah yes, the horse roll. I've had horses for over 40 years and I NEVER tire of watching. Especially the fat ones who take a few tries to get all the way over. Great pics as always!!!

Anyone who has had an itchy back appreciates how that feeling of relief must feel.

What a gorgeous, shiny coat in the first shot! I like that white rear 'boot' in the last. :)

We're traveling this week but I did manage to capture a few fences and gates yesterday, so if not this coming week, I ought to be able to link in the following. :)
