Good Morning, wonderful series and collection of birds.. I love the woodies.. and the cool vulture.. Happy Sunday!

Revrunner said...

The dog I'm caring for at the moment had an encounter with a black vulture on our "walk" yesterday. I'm thinking the dog is a more or less direct descendent of one of the world's last great bird dogs. :-)

I absolutely love the Hawk you captured in the 6th image.

Black Jack's Carol said...

Goodness, what a beautiful assortment. The Vulture and the Blue Jay are particularly wonderful photographs. The Blue Jay looks so wise.. rather like he is saying, "Now listen here young lady..."

Gail said...

All beautiful except the buzzard. That kind is more aggressive than the Turkey Vulture and has attacked, maimed and in some instances killed livestock in our area. Normally Carrion birds are protected but Game and Fish said they are a danger to livestock. Still pretty though. I guess this would be an instance of "Pretty is as pretty does".

Brian King said...

I will never tire of seeing the snowy regalness of the egret. She makes such contrast with the mighty vulture, who is beautiful in his own right. :-)

Love them all! I saw a Junco just the other day and the Red-bellied Woodpecker is starting to come to the feeder.

pattisjarrett said...

What a lovely assortment. We had an early-bird Junco visit one day, but I've not seen it since, or any others. It's a bit early here, too. Our Blue Jays are back, though I've not seen much of them. All I know, is I hear them early in the morning, and when I get up, all the peanuts are gone from their feeder.
