Open-Air Dining

Plenty of seating (seeding) available on the platter patio (platio?) feeder. A male House Finch and a Goldfinch share lunch.

"Hmmm..."

"Waitress, can we get a refill on our water, please?"
{Overheard grumbling: "The food is good but the service here is questionable!"}

A fine series of finches and the near empty water dish. Excellent close in detail.

If I were one of these birds I wouldn't complain about the service. The price is right!

Knipsa Passtscho said...

I think the service is very good at your restaurant :) What I would complain about is that it's outdoor at this time of year :))

Have a great Sunday :)

I really enjoy seeing your garden birds... winter is arriving at last over here... a bit late and I don't enjoy the cold so hopefully it won't last long.

So good!!! And since the service is rotten, I take it then the water [rum?] is not disappearing quickly enough to have a designated flyer?

Love it.

Thanks for sharing this link today at The Bird D'Pot.

Dearest Theresa,
Lovely photos of those two species dining together.
Those bird baths we have to clean out several times, the dye from those leaves stains the entire bath... Wonder if birds can handle that?
Hugs,
Mariette

lovely little birds. We have just hung a free seed feeder (no fat) with a roof and none of our little birds have even considered trying it, preferring the balls, the platter is probably a better way to serve them.

These little birds are so cute, wondering how many bird feeders you have?

pattisjarrett said...

I expected the goldfinch to find a fly in its soup. Or a feather. Around here, I can't keep the leaves out. The oak lost most of its leaves, so that problem should go away.
