Whistlers on Wednesday 104



They remind me of kids lining up for the water fountain after the bell rings signaling end of recess and return to class. :)

These are first-year juveniles, just coming in to their adult colors (hence the mottled plumage on some and the light pink/gray bills).

Looks like parent whistlers and their youngsters??? I was visiting a last week who winters in the Tampa, Fla. area and she said that they now have about 40 whistlers. She thinks Katrina blew a group of them there and each year, there are more and more!!!
