Can You Handle More Wood Ducks?

They've kind of been coming out of the wood(duck)work, lately. ;) These photos, however, are from February. I'm just going to load this post up with them.

Just such marvelous colors!

Even gorgeous from the back!

And from the side.

Adorable and pretty in her own way.

No, not trash, exactly. Rubbish by Roan began a new meme last week called Rubbish Tuesday. Basically, she wants folks to feature old things - falling down buildings, old tools, antiques, whatever. I had to go rust hunting. Well, I didn't have to look far - just outside my window. My daily view includes two favored 'old things'.

First, the real 'rubbish'. Last fall when the pond was low, I pulled out another old milk can - or what's left of one. It has lost the top of the can and the body shows years of rust and corrosion, buried in the mud of the pond for no telling how many years.
I set it along shore next to an old stump. It graces the landscape with its rich rust tones as the seasons go from brown to green and back again.

The second 'old thing' has also been here many years before us. It is my favorite tree along the pond - dead for years, but still a thing of beauty.
It throws great reflections.
And provides prime perching.

All in all, simply a great view. :)
