Preening Roadrunner

Lots of photos, again. He's such a poser.
Checking the dry rain gauge?

One crazy looking bird!

   He starts watching me, now.

Rudder up!

Vroom!

Is It Bigger Than a Bread Box?

This old box from a bread truck sits near the corner of a country highway intersection. Mrs. Baird's is a Texas original, baking bread for over 100 years.

Next to the bread box is this old fuel tank.

A quick sandwich and a fuel up? Sounds like the makings of a country 7-11! :)

Bluebird Bath Time

"Hey, buddy, you were here first. Go ahead!"

"Hmmmm..."

"Flap around, like this!"

"Foolish children..."

"Dimwitted Bluebirds! I can tell he looks nothing like us real birds!"

"Are you just shy, like me?"

"Hello??"
"Wow. He's really a bore!"

Life of a Country Dog: Thelma Jean

Sometimes it's good to have the doggie couch all by yourself.
Other times, you end up sharing it with your sisters, Louise and BB.
Or with big brother, Baron.
Lazing outside in the sun dapples feels good, too.
Watching the goings-on from the front porch with your sisters is nice.
Guard duty is an important job.
Even if you doze in the sun for a moment.
It's always fun to bring back cool, smelly stuff from neighbors' properties and the creek.
That's a horse leg, if you want to know.
After a full day or night, it's always good to relax on the cool tile floor (with brother Baron).

Down By the Water...

the water (level) is down. Zim and Gem graze some of the growth along the receding pond.
Gem wears a fly mask to protect a drooping eyelid. Zim goes au naturel.

The tire fence serves its purpose in keeping them from crossing through the low water.

Good Fences #27

I'd title this one, "Can I give you a lift?" Trees grow up, regardless of fence stays.

That's Snow-on-the-Prairie blooming all over that field.

Here's the link-up!

1. Link in a post featuring a photo or photos of fences or gates.
2. Link back to Run*A*Round Ranch Report in your post or use the badge code to display the Good Fences button in your post that automatically links back here.
3. If time allows, please visit some of the other participants and comment on their shared posts.

Thank you!
